So what is “Major Stars?” We still don’t know? No. Here is a list of styles they have claimed it isn’t: Articulated LJN’s BCA Bigger Rubber Guys Galoobs GI Joes Hasbros/Retros Little Plastic Gals Maximum Sweat Micro Brawlers OSFTM ECW OSFTM WCW Reaction STOMP Unmatched Fury “MAJORSTARS” could be used for something else but the timing of it seems to line up with the announcement.

Isn’t the WWE Remco style line called Wrestling Superstars? I know they’ve done some figures in this style with Ringside, but maybe now they’re diving in to making a full line of their own in this form factor? I’d think it wouldn’t be too costly, as the same basic body pieces can be used for most figures.

Good call, man.

I’d think it wouldn’t be too costly, as the same basic body pieces can be used for most figures. There are a couple of reasons I thought this wouldn’t be the case but that doesn’t mean they aren’t: -As you mentioned, they already did some of that with RSC. RSC still has some of those figures for sale too so either the momentum died or the demand wasn’t there. -Bell to Bell exists. I have no idea how well it is or isn’t doing. Along with them you have WWE Superstars, PowerTown All Star Wrestlers, and Asylum All-Stars. That is more saturation than the Galoob market. On the other hand, it also leaves the door open to a wider market of collectors. -The use of the term “All new” makes me think that they aren’t going in that direction. I’m loving the speculation either way. It builds excitement/anticipation.

With Kaniks history at Eaglemoss, I wonder if statues would be a possible option? Kind of like Unmatched Fury Leave the memories behind. All successful indie lines are built off nostalgia so it’s important we still have our memories

Excellent point. It was said to be a new toyline; no mentions of wrestling. Does this mean we will get a Kurt Fuller BRG style figure!? lol Is anyone here going to SDCC this year? If so, it looks like this is where things are going down:

I would definitely guess thumb wrestlers. That was my knee jerk reaction just the way Matt has talked about them on the show in the past. Plus, they aesthetically fit into the same space with the bendies and big rubber guys.
OSFTM ECW style figures would be incredible, my absolute most wanted revival/retro line of all time, but it feels like a much bigger undertaking. Having molds made and the articulation, and just the overhead vs ROI conversation seems like something Matt specifically would shoot down. Toy business not the toy friendship or whatever. So while this would be a dream, and be a beyond make good for Rush being trash and having teased this idea to everyone, it's not my expectation they're going down this road, sadly.

Gotta be remco style. All stars, superstars, major stars. Anything else would make no sense. I’m aware they already make remco style figures but those suck. They might reboot to have something that fits in better with the Mattel and powertown offerings

Maybe the Jay & Silent Bob Bendies did really well and they’re gonna do a separate “Majorstars” brand of non-wrestlers is my wild speculation

Maybe not Bendies, but some kind of action figures that are of non-wrestlers or of wrestlers in non-wrestling forms. (IE, the “Be a Man” Macho they’re releasing at SDCC)

Might also be stars we saw in the past at wrestling events: Cyndi Lauper, Alice Cooper, Chuck Norris, Mike Tyson, ...

How many different styles of wrestling figures do we need? It’s already oversaturated. ⁰⁰⁰ 2024 is the peak for wrestling figures. Its all downhill from here on out. Companies should try to get licenses for 80s and 90s toy lines that have yet been rereleased.... Would be interesting to see them try a thundercats sized poseable action figure line with limited points of articulation and soft rubber skin. Last idea left that could excite collectors. A 3 3/4 line would not last long unfortunately. A line that is playable and posrable has the most chance to survive long term.
