And my point is these are pieces of plastic that only hold the value we place on them. Don’t get me started on Funko. There’s gonna be a trash island made of those in the future. I more so think about people dying and a lot of this stuff just going in the garbage because to most humans that’s what they are and they won’t think to eBay thousands of pieces of plastic. They’ll get donated or scrapped… You can say that about any collection. Trading cards are literally pieces of paper. Any and every collectible's value is based off of the value we place on them. You're all over the place with what you're debating here. All I said was my personal mindset as a collector. If these items have absolutely no value and are not "sought after," then I am essentially a glorified hoarder. That is not how I view myself because I value my collection and I want my collection to have value. We are hoarders. I mean you can spice it up however you want, but to 99% of the world were hoarders. You could have 100 pairs of expensive Jordan’s, but you can only wear/need one pair at a time. I love my little plastic men and women, but I guess I’m just too much of a realist too think anything else about them. It’s cute to be able to tell friends/family my NWO Scott Hall or whatever is expensive now I guess, but ultimately no one cares.

I don't know why you collect when you have such a negative outlook on it. We are not hoarders. Or at least I'm not. I don't know how you collect or display so I really shouldn't speak on your behalf. Hoarding has a negative connotation to it, where you have so many things that you can't even manage it. Hoarders put value on things that should be thrown away; however, I don't think we should necessarily be throwing away our collectibles. Yet, based on how you've expressed that they are merely plastic, maybe you would just throw them away? A collection can be displayed and managed very nicely. I don't collect shoes, and don't really understand that hobby much, but I bet those people value the items in their collection and would not want to see them devalued either.

While I appreciate the re-releases, I wish they’d commit to fully upgrading them with True FX on all the heads or using better heads from UEs like Cena & Kane.
Even little things like using the sculpted glove mold for Kane or the molded wristbands for Cena & HBK would be appreciated.

If this goes to a Series 2... which I don't see why it wouldn't, due to the overall great reaction it's getting... I wanna see... realistically: 1. RSC SES CM Punk 2. RSC white Scott Hall 3. TRU BOPPV Undertaker 4. Smackdown Main Event Ring Elite Jinder Mahal 5. RSC DX Shawn Michaels 6. RSC unmasked Kane 7. SDCC Shockmaster 8. DM Triple H I would also contemplate buying the whole set with the improvements.

I’m not bothered by the rereleases, but I get why others would be. I don’t really want any of these. The only one I already have is Warrior. I guess I might buy Kane. That long armed Bubba blew the first time so I didn’t buy the Dudleys back then.

I more so think about people dying and a lot of this stuff just going in the garbage because to most humans that’s what they are and they won’t think to eBay thousands of pieces of plastic. They’ll get donated or scrapped… It is funny you bring this up, as this is something I have thought about quite a bit recently. I have a large collection - comic books and action figures. I collected the new Star Wars figures from 96-2011ish, until new original trilogy figures became less and less. I collected the DC Classics line from start to finish, along with the animated lines - Justice League Unlimited etc. I picked up many movie sub lines I was interested in. Ihave a ton of McFarlane NFL figures. My biggest collection though is my wrestling figures. Jakks and Mattel. Started with the Classic Superstars and quickly dove into the then current lines from Jakks and continued right up through now. I am in my 50s and in decent health. My daughter is 16. I still have a good amount of time left but the sheer amount of loose figures I have is going to be a huge undertaking for her just to deal with down the line. Enough so that I am starting to make plans and organize for her how to deal with it when I am gone. With the way collecting is these days, it will definitely be interesting to see what the collecting world is like as people like me are no longer around and have these massive collections selling. Sure the bulk of my stufff may only sell for a few bucks each, but the numbers I have, coupled with the portion of rare figures I have that even loose could go for a few hundred bucks could definitely be a help to my daughter. Apologies if I got off track a bit in this thread, but seeing someone make the offhand comment about people dying and what happens to collections struck a nerve as I had been contemplating this so much recently, I just had to add my two cents.

These are all bangers. The only questionable choice is Undertaker, but only because that figure didn’t really need a second release. Big Evil would’ve been a better choice

imagine the outbursts if they re-release ses punk They should absolutely release it again, personally I think it would be a great Ultimate since it could have a head with hair, a masked head, and a bald head with removable mask

I personally don't care that figure are getting re-released, Jakks did back in the day with introducing several lines and the Best Of 200x. Mattel also did this in 2010 with the Elite Best of 2010 line. What is just annoying in my opinion that these were Exclusives back then, so they should stay exclusive. I think most of them weren't even released in that box? On top of that it could kill the 2nd market even more, not from a seller's perspective but from the other side. I would be too scared right now to buy any old figures, not because of the value decrease, but I could have saved money by waiting and will think twice about buying figures. Will get the Dudleys, have most of the others already. The only exclusives we’re Kane and Warrior and Kane was/is still a RSE. And again my argument would be that people can wait for rereleases, but they may never come. Punk seemed like he was donezo as far as Mattel WWE figures were concerned, but now he’s back on the table. But he’s a bigger name and whose to say if they’ll ever make another figure of wrestler X, Y, or Z so buy what you want at your discretion. I just bought a loose Bob Backlund elite. Do I think they’ll probably make a better one eventually? Yeah if he’s still available for them to make, but who knows when if that will be. I also didn’t grossly overpay, but I did spend like $75 on DM Warrior and Savage at one point for them to make a better Warrior and almost a better Savage. It is what it is. I would be fine with it if they stop Elite Greatest Hits then, they are basically the same. What annoys me tho is that these aren't only Elites that were released, they were released in different lines. (DM Cena/Taker) It just doesn't make sense to me to put eight figures in a set, we have already come close to a point where people will already have most of the figures that were released, this will make it even worse. The trading aspect of Wrestling figures is already dead in my opinion, trading your stuff is what makes collectibles fun for me. (ofc displaying them etc) I would have been fine with four per set, but this is just too much.

Would love them to do RSC Macho King,OG Elite Regal & OG Elite Cody Dont want them to re-release Macho King only cuz I want this one and I’m afraid they won’t if they do the RSC one again. Maybe as an UE but getting out WM7 Macho King would definitely be their first priority.

I love this! It's the perfect way to keep older figures accessible to newer collectors without eating up mass retail slots that could be used for new figures.
Kane is the only one I need for my collection, but excited to see where this goes even if most will be passes for me.

Why many people as a collector so devastated with the re release. Mafex is doing it, Hasbro is doing it. What's the problem? As a fan I need that character in my collection, why would I collect item for value, which is being sold as a toy LOl. There are many other things which are valuable just don't buy toys then 😆

I truly love this new series. Picked up DX and may get Dudley’s. There’s so many amazing early figures I missed out on. This is great for everyone imo. Really looking forward to additional series. Thank you Mattel!
