Yeah, my thoughts too. He could have given him a different body style, I think the bodyslam just like that Cardona would have been perfect. Looks dead good, but I'm pretty content with the G/G's one too.

In my limited search, I wasn’t coming up with any results with white on the boots. The pads were often butted up together but I never saw them connected or sewn together.

Apart from Myers cos he requested it is there an actual hasbro like pose? No clothesline I can think of, 1 jumper, otherwise it’s a generic standing pose

Why not have the macho 1 / HBK/ Martel etc style pose? Why not a clothesline type pose? They all virtually stand the same

Basically everyone else just has standard arm articulation at the shoulder. You can argue that some are in the style of Hacksaw, Slaughter, etc. which is fair for a few of them. Others have unique hand sculpts (Sabu, Candido, Mark Sterling, etc).

Which is the most plausible theory?

1. OMG selling separately because it’s the only Series 3 figure that has arrived.
2. OMG selling separately because ZST needs money to get the other figures shipped from overseas.
3. All Series 3 figures have arrived at the ZST “warehouse” but he wants to make extra $ on s&h.
4. All Series 3 figures have arrived at the ZST “warehouse” but he wants to generate a buzz for the rest of Series 3.
5. All Series 3 figures have arrived at the ZST “warehouse” but he wants to see what action it gets before proceeding with the rest of Series 3.

my guess is that it’s to flaunt the “in stock drop” and it being “unprecedented” which it’s really not but gives him a nice slogan for it I guess.

Do not think it’s a cost thing but Gargano not being delivered yet doesn’t make a whole heap of sense when he’s got OMG ready to go

Heck - if Mitch’s had a different pose, I would still consider buying the ZST version…but end of the day, they are too similar. Thats my own reasoning but I’m always interested to hear why others have made that choice.

After doing a generous GIS on Ahmed, I moved towards combing through various matches and compilation videos to see where the white on his gear might have come from (or the connected padding). I just couldn’t find anything. Sometimes we put Zombie Josh under the microscope (justifiably) but this one really stands out as an odd lapse in his attention to detail.

Isn’t that DFreedom guy on his payroll for this sort of thing? He’s normally got a great eye for spotting outfits and matching them to appearances whilst calling out “fantasy gear” so I would be very surprised if this is not an accurate outfit

Good point. I enjoy the obscure “ackshully” research/memory he has. As a collector I always like seeing things the way I remember it most.

I had a fun conversation recently with David Miniatures. He has been working on a recreating the exterior office building/parking lot set from The Office TV series (US). I was provided him with photos of the set as I had been on it while the series was still in production. During our discussion we talked about how off some of his coloring was compared to the real-life structure. The building on the show was a darker gray but the day I took the photos, it was so clear and bright out that it came across as almost baby blue. In person, it was somewhere in the middle. I really appreciated his take of going for screen accuracy based on the way he remembers it/sees it on screen vs. the more obscure “realistic” approach. you're right, I would. why? because I've repeatedly said the same thing on here, and this is evidence that ZST is moving in the right direction - we need to end the preorder business model for these indy companies. why should customers take the financial risk and be let down as we have (repeatedly) by these companies?

ZST made these in advance, before taking any preorders, and had them shipped across with the Series 2 stock. Great move on his part, because it proves he's prepared to invest real money into his own business and have an inventory of "in stock" items ready for people to buy, rather than sharing shitty prototype images of figures that bear little to no resemblence to the performer, or will be manufactured on the cheap.

at least this way, I know that when I'm placing an order for OMG, I can already see what the figure looks like and I know that's the figure I'll receive and I won't be disappointed that the concept art looked better than the finished product.

ZST has done it right, and I commend him for it. though I stand by what I said - he hasn't got other figures dropping in the next 90 days, so he's spacing out his inventory whilst he can
