I saw him arguing with people online today in very childish and petty ways.
Are Epic the only ones not engaging in this nonsense?

I feel like zombie gets away with his rude attitude because he puts out the absolute best figures we can buy but Sal has put out dollar store garbage so far and should be acting like the nicest most humble person on the planet

Anyone catch sal's surprise interview on the TB Toycast? It was exactly what you'd imagine.
Just some key points:
- sal stated the reason he came back to wrestling figures almost immediately is because he will not let his detractors bully him out of his passion.
- sal stated the reason he's going to go the Kickstarter route is NOT because of the money, its because it's a big platform that'll garner a lot of eyeballs, 12 million according to him.
- Exact quote: " You gotta have some sort of respect for me because I'm kinda doing this all on my own."
- Exact quote: "My heart is in these figures, I would even say, more than anyone else that's doing this game right now."
Simply stunning.

Sounds on brand. Everything he is doing now is meaningless to me. Once he has something in hand and it looks good, I’ll buy it. Until then it’s just static.

I'm still waiting to see what happens to his Monsters line that went nowhere.....
this is the guy who had plans for 4 figures (each with a part to make the fifth, his take on a 'Zombie Sailor') and he had loads of hype to launch them in October, and then it went down to just Frank (Nosferatu was a figure I'd have bought!) but until he puts money into his own production and manufactures them in advance of any sale taking place, I am not prepared to give him a penny. he literally f'd everyone with his preorder scam, so unless he's prepared to put his own money on the line to produce the figures, to AT LEAST the same level of quality as his promotional artwork suggests.
In fact, the final quality of a product should always be better than the initial renders, the point of concept art is meant to act a starting point that the product improves upon, during the production cycle. Concept/promotional artwork is not supposed to be putting out a picture of the Mona Lisa saying "Coming soon...." and then posting a product reveal months later saying "So I attempted to recreate the concept designs... but I used crayons and now it looks like Lisa Simpson. Kinda.... if you have glaucoma."
anyone giving Sal a penny before you can see the final produced figures in hand, or receive it within a day or two of purchase, is a mug in my opinion. he's already profited from the preorder scam once. the community should not let him do so again.

I'm pretty sure Rock and Roll Collectables have a couple of his monsters on their site. They look a lot better than his wrestling figures, and while I'm a monster fan in general, the packaging is a little too modern and Poundshop looking for me, personally. The figures themselves, well, the two alternate Frankenstein figures he's released so far, are pretty good looking, but I'm generally a MoC collector when it comes to anything monster or horror related, so unless he does something better with his packaging, I'm not a taker. But I'll give credit where credit is due, he's got a good idea with the monster line, though hardly original, as Sungold, iirc, did it to great effect back in the day.

I believe that Sals strength is designing and general marketing of a product, if he just did that for other toy companies that he would be on to winner. His weaknesses are sadly his customer service and an eye for details which just let this line down. Also it’s horrible what happened to you in the film Chopping Mall. Pesky robots

R+R are just selling the pre-orders, there's been no physical figures manufactured yet
last year, he hyped that Frank, Nosferatu and Cthulhu would be available to order in October, and was hyping it for weeks
then "on the day" he deleted all of the previous posts of the Nosferatu and Cthulhu pics, and just made pre-orders available for Frank - he even posted later that it would be a test to see how popular that line would be, before committing to making the others
so, he's already (via both his own site and Kickstarter, plus R+R) taken money from punters looking for these figures, and still (even after the Series 1 debacle) hasn't produced the goods. literally everything he does screams "SCAM" to me at this point

Pesky robots Yeah, he comes across as somewhat of a balloon. Walter's had a mixed bag of results, mate, from his short-lived career as an artist and murderer, a black magic shopkeeper, a garbage man and an ill-fated janitor at the mall. But he always comes back!

I definitely won't be buying any of his wrestling figures, but assuming that he actually gets those monsters up and running, I'll keep an eye on them. I'm honestly surprised that R&R are even doing business with him..

That looks great, as a render, but I honestly have zero interest in dropping money on something I've got zero faith in. Shame, because it's a good gimmick for figure-form.

Sal couldn't even produce Roadblock's hair without making it look like a 2yr old's toy
how are we supposed to believe he can produce a figure with a detailed hand that has open fingers??

Just saw the added worda in the title. Ive slowly been playing catch up with the non-mattel lines but not aware of rush cillectibles yet. Based on what i read on just this one page, i probably shouldnt be in a rush to buy these (pun intended) haha.
