When it comes to the internal figure parts, I am not an expert. That said, those factory samples do look very thin. I would be worried about them either being brittle or loose. It would probably be better than nothing but it could also introduce new issues if they don’t stay in place.

Why are rush sharing ‘error’ cards? That’s something fun to see from had to but not what you should be promoting for a modern line.

That’s from someone who collects errors, prototypes, samples, etc. Not sure it makes a difference in what you are saying; I’m just not sure if they were actual errors or samples. His use of ‘error’ makes me unsure.

at this stage, his entire line is an error.
a serious error of judgement on his part, and he's struggling to convince people otherwise.

I get that’s why that guy might want to but rush sharing it is just highlighting a mistake their factory made, which given the figure quality you’d think they would want to avoid

His use of ‘error’ makes me unsure. Rush was in a Facebook group spouting about these errors and baiting dms from purchasers. I strongly suspected that these were errors on purpose in order to fleece someone for more cash and called him out on it. Obviously just got childish answers back. Not worth anymore than a normal carded figure imo

I am not convinced these were errors to begin with but agree with you in that it looks bad no matter what the reason is.

I don't understand how these companies can plug "errors" as a positive? though Sal has been upselling everything, so it doesn't surprise me from Rush
but doesn't an "error" card just highlight a flaw in the QC of the product? obviously big companies like Mattel/Hasbro etc do have error cards that make it to retail, but these indy producers aren't producing anything on that level of scale, so they're QC should (if it even existed) have picked these up before they even left the factory floor
and one or two is perfectly expected, but when you have a LOT of them, it's definitely a case of engineered rather than accident

I think it’s just something that people like the idea of. There is some charm to the Hasbro ones and I get paying tribute to that…but it feels like a completely inauthentic cash grab OR like something you should probably be embarrassed by. It’s nothing to get upset about; just a weird move to make regardless of how they were produced.

Rush’s latest video implies the 1st figures falling apart was an “isolated incident”. WTF?

Also -- and "error" packaging for a figure selling 20,000 units is pretty rare.
For Rush, selling a few hundred, it's just sad

Rush’s latest video implies the 1st figures falling apart was an “isolated incident”. WTF? "isolated incident" across hundreds of figures? ?
and he's only released 3 so far (though 4 if you include Mitch's Ahmed) and of those, only the Jonah figure seems to be capable of making it out of the packaging unscathed.
still, he's got to keep going, grifters gotta grift

if your factory is churning out <500 units, even the work experience kid could spot these errors. unless, like everything else with the line, you've skimped on the cost of QC.

Kwk didn’t exactly shine with his attitude
We all know about zst
And this guy from rush has hardly covered himself in glory “lol-Ing” in his non-apology apology.
Shows they’re in over their heads. Business owners, PR, social media etc is used to extinguish flames not fan them from ‘proper’ companies

he works full-time apparently. so Rush is not his priority, as it's not paying his bills. he can only dedicate what time he has available outside of his full-time job, outside of family/home life and whatever free time is left, he chooses to spend some (clearly not all) of it on Rush.
why would buyers be prepared to support a "company" that doesn't even have anyone dedicated to running or operating it? this is a side-hussle for Mitch and Sal (KwK has his own thing going on) so why bother to keep supporting this scam?

Having a second job/ side-hustle/ whatever you want to call it does not equate to a scam. There are people in other collector markets (Star Wars for example) who run Etsy types shops successfully in addition to their main job, as a way to produce extra figures that collectors want in their collection. Not everything has to be a 4 series a year endeavour.

Not everything has to be a 4 series a year endeavour. I agree, not everything needs to be 4 waves a year, though Sal is definitely pitching his company as capable of delivering that
Sal is full-time employed in the job that pays his bills. China is about 12-15hrs ahead of the US, depending on where you're located. so if the factory wants a call with Rush to discuss their production cycle, he's got to find time in his day (or night) to accommodate that call. and given it's not his full-time job, he doesn't need to prioritise that call at all, because his livelihood is not on the line.
we saw this with the first wave of figures that his company put out - Roadblock, Larry and Ahmed fall apart because there's virtually nothing holding them together but a thin bead of glue. that's all on Sal. he failed to deliver a decent product right out of the gate, because he cut so many corners, that his own figure line fell to pieces in buyer's hands.
and, given he's refused to even discuss refunds or any form of compensation like a repeat run with better design for the existing customer base that he's pissed off, now he's pushing his company as being able to deliver figures into physical retail stores and at scale.
he's essentially entered himself into the Olympics 100m final without even being able to jog to the end of his driveway. I don't see why anyone would take another chance on Rush if the attitude is - "Hey, we took your money, we gave you crap, and we're not going to even apologise for it!"

Not everything has to be a 4 series a year endeavour. Because to me it shows that these guys are in the custom figure-making game, and if I wanted a strictly for display custom for £40-£50 I'd just use a guy like Darren Sedgwick who is 1000 miles more talented than these weekend hobbyists putting out half-arsed efforts that they market as being legitimate figure lines.
