Can you guys elaborate? What's he been saying? I can't really comment as I haven't heard what he's been waffling yet so if any of you can fill me in, I'd appreciate it. 👍

Can you guys elaborate? What's he been saying? I can't really comment as I haven't heard what he's been waffling yet so if any of you can fill me in, I'd appreciate it. 👍 basically Sal is still plugging the Rush brand/line, saying that those who bought CVV or French Angel will be getting good quality figures, says they're apparently going to re-do them in the new factory, but they're fixing a bunch of other issues as well apparently (presumably CVV's ridiculous looking neck situation?)
then Sal for the rest of the interview went on promoting the further work he's doing for other series/genres like Monsters, superheroes, other TV/movie licences he's going to produce figures for... yet the elephant in the room is Larry and Roadblock are awful figures, straight out of the gate, and he's spent 13 months producing this nonsense and disappointed customers have no options for refunds/replacements etc, if you have a broken Rush figure, so what? He's got bigger things to deal with now....
that's IF you even have one of his figures, as apparently people who ordered via Rush's website can't get hold of Sal (or anyone) to check where their packages are, nor are Rush communicating with anyone on it - he's happy to speak about his future plans, but he's outright refusing to engage with existing disappointed customers who have nothing to show for the money they invested (in good faith) in his company over a year ago
but he expects everyone to get back on board and support him in the future with no questions asked

Extremely unprofessional not communicating with his customers that paid for a low quality product that's not even in their hands yet even though he has them in his. For the people that ordered through his website, including myself, what can we do about this? Contact the better business bureau? He seems to have given up on shipping these so basically he's stolen all that money from people. Has to be some legal ramifications for this?

Can anybody confirm that they ordered Rush figures from his website and actually received them? I’m hearing NOBODY who ordered directly from Rush received their figures and he won’t respond to messages.

now he's promoting the French Angel (the figure no-one wanted) as being some kind of success!
showing off the changes in the body and process, as if people care.
until he confirms that everyone who ordered a figure to date will receive a revised figure or a full refund, I'll just consider Rush to be a scam as that's all it's become now

Gotta say I warned from day 1 about people jumping in on brand new companies with no track record of making toys and I got responses like
“What do you think he’s just going to run off with peoples money”
“Your always so negative”
“Why are you commenting if your not buying”
Etc etc etc
I tried to warn people and they didn’t take heed so I have zero sympathy for people stuck with no figures, or crappy broken ones.
Even now people are defending other companies missing deadlines without even a word
This crowdfunding model disguised as a ‘pre order’ is broken. The only company I’d pre order from are the majors because they have proven they can provide a good product in the timescale provided. They even said they’re saying early 2024 because they only want to promise pre Xmas for people.
Would you buy off eBay with someone who has zero feedback?
Would you let someone with no track record of owning a company run yours?
When a whole host of companies pop up around the same time doing the same stuff they’re not doing it for the love but as a quick way to make a buck.
If you fall for it more fool you

Case in point. Back on 12th March in the all retro thread I said “Pointing out problems isn’t reserved for only people who purchase items. I won’t piss money up the wall on figures which may never arrive, may arrive sub par etc etc
There’s figures I would actually like to purchase, but not until they prove themselves.”
A poster responded “Right. Others handed over cash. Are you complaining about the condition of their figures? That doesn’t make sense.”
My reply “Because I want to buy some of them but I also don’t enjoy wasting money. Again this narrative of you can only comment if you’ve purchased is daft. By that notion prople can only say good things about figures because who’s going to buy a figure they don’t like the look of? I expect you won’t comment on any renders or images BEFORE you’ve purchased because of your logic you can only comment once you become a customer and make a purchase?
It’s Simple really as explained above. Once someone proves themselves then I purchase not before.
Where’s the guarantee you will receive anything when companies have had money for months and provided nothing in hand?”
The response “Has anyone paid for something and just never received it from one of these companies? No. So it’s a moot point.”
Now who’s posts have not aged well between the two of us?
And all I was doing was saying to people these companies who have taken your cash are not all doing good by you and I got crapin return so ce la vie I guess.

You warned us about the evils of Chella, and ZST, and Rush, and Epic, and G&G, and how no one was going to get their figures. And how they were all going to be horrible. We got it. You’ve won the internet. Congratulations. You’re now too smart for the rest of us plebeians on this website. You should take this victory and retire from this message board. Your frequently negative comments and remarks will be sorely missed.

Said he's shipped around 80 orders the past 2 weekends and I'll have mine soon. Odd though with that many orders supposedly shipped nobody on this forum has confirmed receiving anything from him...

Lol, 80 sounds extremely low. That's less than 6 figures a day. Even if he is only doing it on weekends, packing 20 orders a day for people that paid over a year ago for faulty product is insane. Unless it's a typo and you meant 800.

Nope 80 is the number lol and i think he's only shipping on weekends. At this rate maybe we'll have them by Xmas lol

Maybe Rush just needs to become an Etsy seller for a while then build up more gradually? While not perfect, ZST paid his dues selling pins and reselling vintage figs. The Major Pod empire started as a podcast, where they borrowed Colt Cabana’s audio equipment to record.

clearly if he's able to ship 80 orders in a weekend, he's not got the same sales pressures that other producers have, you'd expect Epic or ZST to be working every hour possible to shift the merchandise that's stacked up and taking up space in their storage
meanwhile Sal has clearly got such low volumes of sales, that he's not worried about the handful of boxes taking up space in his garage

ZST has more followers on Insta than Epic, KWK, Rush and Mitch combined, twice over. Yes that may not translate to sales, but I bet it's a good indicator.

ZST really just needs someone to do his socials / PR for him and it’s be pretty hard to criticise him If he stayed behind the scenes coordinating his designer, sculpter, dealing with factory etc snd got someone to provide accurate timescales, better comms, know when to bite their tongue etc The vast majority of criticism has been about that. Figure wise sabu standing issues is really the only negative. Even the elongated arms because it’s so consistent has now just become part of ‘the style’

At which point does Sal wave the white flag? Who in their right mind would order from him again…

At which point does Sal wave the white flag? Who in their right mind would order from him again… has anyone seen his latest story showing the "new" pins for his figures?
I think a sewing needle has more surface area than those pins, not sure how the hell it's going to do much to keep the figures intact
is he paying per mg of plastic or something? everything seems to be as thin or close to thinnest amount of plastic used as possible
