Not a big deal, but are the PT figures bow-legged? They all look like they just jumped off a horse.

I don’t know current TNA very well so while I’m excited for these I don’t know if I’ll be grabbing them all. I feel like a legend would’ve anchored this set. Definitely need Jordynne though. As far as scale goes, i grew up with Jakks. Rey Mysterio was the same size as triple h, Goldberg, Batista. So small scale issues like this or like the early boss fight lucha figures, the “bulkiness” of them doesn’t really bother me as much.

Yay, more people here to complain that the scale is wrong They're allowed to have an opinion on the matter just as much as you are, regardless of whether or not it aligns with yours.

Not a big deal, but are the PT figures bow-legged? They all look like they just jumped off a horse. That is a main reason I'm not really into these. The lower halves look underdeveloped compared to the rest of the figure, like an afterthought. Gives a cheap look to a premium figure.

Like fair enough if PT wants to go 8" scale or whatever, I personally feel they are leaving money on the table with that decision. The bow legs are one thing, it's the tiny hands that keep popping off and the tiny feet that really grinds me. I was so disappointed because I really wanted a Brody, until I got him and realized he was 12' tall - thankfully zombie's Brody fills that need in my collection - different line, but at least it looks better.

Steve from Mattel has said Brody would almost immediately get an Elite if he was under contract. This is why I think PowerTown has to worry about their exclusivity running out.

Steve from Mattel has said Brody would almost immediately get an Elite if he was under contract. This is why I think PowerTown has to worry about their exclusivity running out. I don't know how many of the names signed to Powertown are in danger of being poached by Mattel. Brody is one of Powertown's bigger names, and I would not be surprised if a figure was made by Mattel if he became available, but in my opinion, a good part of the wrestlers on the list (see page 7) are not wrestlers that WWE is rushing out to sign to their deals. Plus, they have different sales models. For the most part, Mattel is geared towards the mass market. Sure, they have some wrestlers that have been online exclusives first, but I don't think they have had any wrestlers that were not made at one point to be released at retail, even if it is a Walmart exclusive. The best they did towards the same old time wrestlers that Powertown is gearing toward was when they went a couple years having exclusive legends peppered into the Elite line that went to Walmart. Some were notoriously popular and hard to find - Gorilla Monsoon, Pat Patterson, both of those immediately come to mind. Others were left rotting on the shelves for a very long time - Mae Young and Freddie Blassie are two examples of this. So those were hit or miss, and those were not even as obscure to the general public as a number of the wrestlers signed to Powertown. Bobo Brazil is one example, who just had the Remco figure preorders available. If Mattel were to make a figure for Bobo Brazil in the Target Exclusive Legends line, it would more than likely be one of the lowest selling wrestlers. Same with Nick Bockwinkel, in my opinion. The general public would not bat an eye at either of these, and only the hardcore fan would pick these up. These as figures may not be worth it for Mattel to make. Yet Powertown is making these in Remco form ( and ideally as Ultras soon). They are there to satisfy a smaller fan/customer base, and I am hoping they are successful so far with that. Sure, some of the names would get made by Mattel. Ted Dibiase was removed because he resigned with WWE Legends. If Brody's estate were to sign with the WWE, he would get one or two figures. I would think the Rock N Roll Express would have had chances to be signed by WWE, but never did, and now they are with Powertown. Would Bobo Brazil ever be offered a WWE contract? I don't know, but I suspect not. Nick Bockwinkel? Maybe (he would be good if they did another territories set), but that is probably it.

Idk, I guess I keep, thinking this is one of the things that may change with the new WWE, etc. More of a look to the older wrestlers and others that might not've legally got along with previous regimes.

Oh I am hoping it changes with the new WWE. But I am guessing it is a slow process, and I plan to stick with Powertown Ultras as long as they go. I don't see Mattel ever doing a Wahoo McDaniel, for example, so I will be very happy to get him here.

They're allowed to have an opinion on the matter just as much as you are, regardless of whether or not it aligns with yours. Yep, But we've beat that horse dead for a year plus I get what you’re saying but it’s still relevant as they are making a choice each time they decide to release something with the original scale. There are also people here that aren’t as familiar with how they match up with their other figures. It’s also hard to claim that the horse was beat dead for a year plus when PowerTown has had virtually no activity for this line in almost a year. They managed to release the non broken figures and the KVE Diamond figure but let’s not forget them hyping the Cardona/Myers in the summer then going virtually AWOL for 3-4 months. And prior to that, they were largely dormant while trying to correct the issues with the Series 1 Ultras.

Scale issues don't bother me, but this thread is 100% the place to voice your displeasure or excitement. I'll probably cave and purchase, but I don't feel they're worth the price point being sold at tbh

Do you guys think Powertown will go directly to the Ultras2 to order as soon as pre orders are done with TNA?

As well, was hoping to get two sets of ultras for 2024. Won’t happen. At this rate, I’d say Ultras series 2 will be up for pre order in May. So, give it 6 months to have them ready. Ship in November?

Do you guys think Powertown will go directly to the Ultras2 to order as soon as pre orders are done with TNA? Yes. Pending any sudden changes, these should go up shortly after these TNA figures are done. Then, after that, it will be interesting to see what is up next - Ultras 3? TNA 2? Remcos 2? I would be curious to see if the Remcos or TNA are considered successes. Based on the reactions here, I suspect the TNA figures preorder numbers haven't lived up to expectations.
