Wasn't there "something" that was going to be done this year to fix the Walmart problem? That came from Mattel. What that something was I'm not aware of, but the problems with Superstars and Monday Night War are just as bad as ever, if not worse. I would find the occasional Ruthless Agression figures on shelves, MNW has been completely absent, and we're already seeing reports of Wave 3 trickling out.
I doubt very much that anything is going to change except for the fact that at some point both lines will end prematurely due to the distribution issues. Walmart is likely Mattel's biggest customer, they don't want to push things too far because Mattel sells many different products to Walmart not just wrestling figures and they don't want to lose that business. I think Mattel tried to find a solution but in the end were unsuccessful and now it seems they have just given up, leaving both the Superstars & MNW lines to hobble along with the same poor distribution until someone finally pulls the plug. It sucks that Mattel refuses to sell any products online, both of these lines cater to adult collectors and would have sold well as online exclusives.

Yes I agree, they have been pumping out figures like crazy the last few years- didn't Jakks do the same thing toward the end of their run, perhaps this is a sign the Mattel era is FINALLY coming to an end. 15 years is too long IMO for 1 company to have a toy license, not to take away from what they have done (they have released many great figures) but its starting to get a bit stale, the constant re-releases are an indication that they are playing it safe and don't have anything new to offer. Also, the distribution problems that just keep getting worse and worse with no signs that anything is being done to fix these problems indicate that a major change is needed at Mattel- either an overhaul of the WWE team or new ownership of the company (neither is likely to happen).
Collectors have no say in who gets what lines. People have complained about the Superstars & MNW lines yet nothing has been done so what would be the point of speaking up?!

Supposedly starting with wave 3 of MNW it should be easier to get those figs. But nothing really has been said about Superstars.

They really need to be available on Walmart.com like how Target does theirs. With how few and far between these (all Walmart exclusives) seem to be, the numbers don't even add up. Mattel has to produce a minimum number of units, and I don't pretend to be an expert on what that number is, but these things are nearly invisible even on the secondary market. If they're not on Walmart.com, they're not in stores, and they're barely on ebay and Mercari, where are they?

They keep making great figures in this line. I hope this line runs as long as Mattel has the WWE contract. I hope distribution gets better, that would definitely help. Are Brutus's scissors going to be red? Or is that just what they had ready when they took the pictures?

Reading the comments in Steve's IG post, they are mostly people saying the figures are great but finding the them at Walmart is nearly impossible. The post also says these will be out later this year. Does he really think we are going to see waves 9, 10 & 11 in Walmart by the end of year?

My stores (west coast) have seen every line up to and including the Andre series, they tend to be very delayed. Andre/Doink/Hogan only started showing up a couple weeks ago and they do tend to get slotted in with the usual peg warming older stuff people have been listing out on this thread. My guess is we'll get the Bulldog set next month and Bossman/Angle/Tanaka by end of fall. It definitely feels like an easter egg hunt out there though...

Man I'm going to be real tempted to make a swap out to give him purple trunks but the long boys are pretty sweet looking too...

Series 11 looks great, as usual. Hope all the eBay sellers in California that will somehow procure these instead of the store they are meant to be exclusive to only charge double retail and not triple.
And what soft goods does Razor come with? His vest looks plastic.

To me, this is not the greatest wave. Zodiac looks GREAT, but I don't feel that about Brutus. I also love the Gold Razor, but not the blue. And Rey looks really cool, but he kind of doesn't really fit in the line...

Is it in Rey's contract that he must have a figure in every exclusive line?!?! To me, he is the first square peg in a round hole for this line.

This is WCW Rey, which does fit the Attitude Era roster this line serves. That said, I’ll be passing on that one…

I feel like Rey would have been better served as a 2-in-1 figure. WCW tights underneath, WWE cloth pants on top. The tattoos wouldn't match the looks, but it would be "close enough."

Wonder if Rey Mysterio mask is removable, hard to tell in the pics.

The Rock is the only wrestler from the Attitude Era on here. Loosely you have Mankind (even though that Mankind is more 95-96), Kane, and the 3x OG NWOs.

There were 2 full pegs of Outsiders and HBK; I had to double check the date the video was posted, thinking I was watching one from 2 years ago, but nope, it was 1 day old and the WM even had the latest Summerslam Elites. That's rough for y'all!!!

Kurt Angle, and Mr. Perfect too (the black trunks version). I phrased that very poorly haha- I just meant that they've been sprinkling in Attitude Era guys since the beginning so the Rey isn't that much of an outlier. To me Bray is the only one in the line that really sticks out as not fitting the theme...
