Is it in Rey's contract that he must have a figure in every exclusive line?!?! To me, he is the first square peg in a round hole for this line. Mad Hatter Bray Wyatt is the figure that stands out the most that doesn’t belong. And Rey pairs with the nWo guys plus the MOTU characters that could easily fit into this line like Sting, Goldberg, and Macho. Vader and Flair are from a different era but also represent WCW.

Yes, you are correct there, I forgot about him. While this Rey doesn't fit IMO, that Bray for sure was lame, and he's my favorite character of the last 30 years! But that MH look was a Fun house one-off, easily should have gone in a different Bray direction as he does belong in this line. MOTWWEU Stratos-Rey was tremendous, this Rey is blah (but he does move merch and toys so I get it).

Yes I agree, they have been pumping out figures like crazy the last few years- didn't Jakks do the same thing toward the end of their run, perhaps this is a sign the Mattel era is FINALLY coming to an end. 15 years is too long IMO for 1 company to have a toy license, not to take away from what they have done (they have released many great figures) but its starting to get a bit stale, the constant re-releases are an indication that they are playing it safe and don't have anything new to offer. Also, the distribution problems that just keep getting worse and worse with no signs that anything is being done to fix these problems indicate that a major change is needed at Mattel- either an overhaul of the WWE team or new ownership of the company (neither is likely to happen).
Collectors have no say in who gets what lines. People have complained about the Superstars & MNW lines yet nothing has been done so what would be the point of speaking up?!
Steve was not getting the questions you, myself and hayabusa have posed him in the last 3 months. We have all collectively hit a wall. Look back to my earlier posts. You will find a novel of fantasy series and posts where i outlined what has been released and where. I and others have spent hours trying to figure out where the problems lay to help steve be able to relay that info to corporate. Seems like steve is not able to change the current situation. However if en masse we all continue to push +these issues, especially the mnw crowd, then maybe, perhaps, it is possible that we can change the tide. I love this line too much to give up on it but i will not pay retail prices anymore. It all ends up on clearance OR sold cheap in lots on ebay. I am playing the waiting game on series 9 and 10. Just a matter of time now. Series 9 will be released in the next 2 weeks. Series 10 in august. What worries me is series 11+. I don't get the feeling that we are on the same schedule for the rest of the year. Series 11 might not come out till december. The delays are ridiculous.. I share your frustration. Flair forever and myself might sound negative to newcomers but i have personally been collecting for 35 years and have never seen a retail line released like this. I mentioned to steve that these figures should be stamped as 1 of 5000 because as you have stated last page, these figures are barely available on the secondary market. They produced 50k plus of the first 3 series. The lattwr releases are in the 10k range. If tgis is the new norm, then why is walmart not stocking them. For 4 months now we have seen s9 and 10 available only by 2 sellers on ebay. Why are they the only ones with the figures. This is the main question i want steve to answer. Walmart has these..

It looks plastic to me as well, which is strange since both Beefcake & Mysterio come with fabric accessories. Looks like another 'budget' thing, Roddy Piper's kilt was also plastic which I was not fond of but at least this one latches and stays on the figure unlike the HOF Piper elite where the plastic kilt did not stay secure.
Does Beefcake come with an extra head as this would be the first time they are including an extra head with a figure?!

Beefcake DOES come with an extra head, I wonder if we will see more of this in future waves?! The shirt is very bland, no colour at all and for some strange reason the shears are red?!
Here are the promo pics for Series 11: Brutus the Barber Beefcake
Rey Mysterio Jr.
Razor Ramon

Doubtful but one can dream. If series 8 & 9 show up then I might believe that something has changed but at this point I don't see any reason to hope. Series 5 showed up a couple months ago and then nothing until a few days ago when series 10 showed up- what happened to series 6-9?! I hope Mattel announces some re-releases at Comic Con so we can get another shot at the series that were skipped but I wouldn't hold my breath as its clear neither Walmart or Mattel give a crap.

Big Poppa Pump is my most wanted figure for this line. White fabric singlet with black painted trunks underneath. Scott might be the rare case where the MOTU body doesn’t seem that outlandish. I wish they’d make more people for this line somehow or another, it feels like the roster grows at a glacial pace.

I like the attire choices you went with; he would go great with the Hollywood Hogan, Hall and Nash figures we already received. I also hope they do a Steiner Brothers pair from their WWF days.

One of the biggest head scratchers in my opinion. I know he had a MOTU release, but that was so damn long ago and many other names who got a figure in that line have already gotten the Superstars treatment. Bret should be an easy layup. He has so many colorful attires to choose from that pop and because they usually go over the top with the cloth goods, I have a feeling this would be the first time ever that his jacket comes with actual fabric epaulettes (shoulder fringe). Also, for some reason, I absolutely GUARANTEE it would be the best facial likeness of Bret that Mattel has released. He has had so many shoddy scans that you just know they will nail the one for a niche line which will create an uproar.

I'm also wondering how Stone Cold hasn't been included yet.... and if they're planning to do any newer guys? Odd that Bray Wyatt was in Series 1, but they haven't touched guys like John Cena.... Roman Reigns....Cody Rhodes.... I think Bray Wyatt is the ONLY modern guy that's been in this line? I think Cena would look amazing as a Superstar figure!

While I think the sweet spot for these figures is throwbacks to the 80s and 90s, it is hard to deny Cena would be a perfect fit for this line. I can already envision it with one of his super bright shirts with the matching hat/wristbands/armbands/etc. and a big, goofy smile.

I think they can get away with some RA in this line. Next Big Thing Brock, Thuganomics Cena, Legend Killer Orton, and handful of others that could be sprinkled in randomly here and there.
