Just get YouTube premium you'll never look back I watch YouTube primarily for my TV watching (and twitch but that’s even worse at times), but I’m seriously considering it. I’m getting sick of ads run every 5 minutes, it’s so off putting to the point that I’m giving up on videos I am actually interested in because it’s annoying me.
Same here -- but it's up to the channel to reduce ads if they want. It's def. caused me to stop watching a lot on YouTube

Well, I guess this answers if the Major Pod is still popular. That's an insane price

That's an insane price Would disagree that this is a testament to their popularity more so continued evidence of their negative impact upon the collecting community. Singlehandedly created a demand for Micro Brawlers, causing inflation due to the supply and demand business model. This is another perfect example of that. who else on the planet would think of wedding exclusives, even a special moment in a persons life is an opportunity on make income of “Marks”. I see this and I feel it’s sad on so many levels.

Almost everything they put up is gone in less then a day...they never publicly sold the wedding brawlers, hes given away a few in the group and sold this set, I also dont see how people say they have a negative impact on the community. What other wrestlers collect as much as they do? They hardly ever sell figures they buy.

Very rarely do they actually pay for figures, and when they do it is way below market value as major marks are happy to get acknowledged on the podcast. It is what it is more power to them. I just think the whole wedding thing is a new low even for Cardona.

They acknowledged themselves in the pod their merch has slowed down, their live shows are no longer selling out. Unfortunately a lot have gotten out of collecting due to various factors and the impact on podcasts and other things is a result of that

The Vegas show is only one that seemed ti have problems selling, and everything about that show seemed like a bad idea. Curious to see if that was a one-off circumstance or a sign of the trend.

From other things I’m into I honestly think the pandemic + other factors have negatively affected all collector markets. People stuck at home, non essential shops closed but online still operating for 6, 12 or 18 months depending where you are in the world have led to price increases across figures (all action figs not just wrestling), vinyl records, retro games to name just 3 I follow or have an interest in This is also due to other factors like video games the whole unfolding issue with sealed / graded games selling for crazy prices and that has a knock on to unsealed and ungraded games The card market which I don’t follow has gone through the roof also The problem with this is that it’s a tiny portion of the market and investors / speculators who take advantage of this. It wasn’t long ago, just shy of pre-pandemic that the average collector could get a hasbro set with the exception of green cards and mail aways. Not the case now The knock on of this is those collectors lose interest and fall out of the hobby

It wasn’t long ago, just shy of pre-pandemic that the average collector could get a hasbro set with the exception of green cards and mail aways. Not the case now The knock on of this is those collectors lose interest and fall out of the hobby This is/was an issue I kinda faced with my Classic Superstars collection. At the start of the year I was on my way to a full set but with less about it got harder and with people listing those I was missing at insane prices due to the price hike of the Covid era, it wasn't cost effective to do it. You're talking figures like Rick Stiener and Bam Bam going for £50-75 and when there's like 400 figures and moving it just was something I stopped half way. On the other side of the coin, I was offered a 1/25 Ric Flair. I sold every regular Classic I had to fund it and that made the decision easier. I paid £2500 and famously you'll probably have seen the one that sold a few months ago for nearly 10 Grand a month later. If I hadn't done it at the time, I'd never own the figure at that price. On point, and I did have a point, you're seeing things like video games/cards etc. going for ridiculous prices due to the demand and investors. It's now in every aspect of life, it's a new way of thinking. People are looking at things more than they ever did. Yes, antiques were always a huge part of the world but now so many more people are seeing cards/games/action figures as this generations antiques.

It does seem like their popularity has died down quite a bit. That second set of buddies is still sitting on their site.
I find the wedding Brawlers incredibly disgusting, but to each their own. It's not my money. I do think Brawlers in general have jumped the shark, which, as a collector of them, I really appreciate haha.
I've really become a big fan of Myers through the pod. I share his passion for ECW, and we're right around the same age, dad with two young kids, and have similar experiences as it pertains to wrestling/collecting. At a minimum, I'm happy the pod got us Extreme Conversations, and I love that Brian will push for stuff like a Pillman Bend-em or Pillman Zombie figure. He also mentioned wanting to get Mike Awesome's widow setup with a PWTs store to honor his legacy, and he's trying to help these ECW guys a lot imo. It's really propping up ECW's legacy as far as I'm concerned, and I'll suffer through Cardona being a carny once a week to support Myers.

Myers is 100% more palatable than matt for my personal taste and mark is trying to be too much like Matt, you can see how his persona on the show has changed, the ‘excitement’ feels almost forced, I might be wrong but it feels like he’s portraying a character Still gotta give them props for these - they look great snd doing the card as a bonus in the box along with having the card on packaging like the original bendems is genius

I can see Cardona being an acquired taste but I like him, and I'm grateful for him.
He genuinely does care, and his passion is contagious. Not only was I out of the game of collecting totally until I started watching him (stopped after Jakks lost the license), but he's shared with us some of the most awesome rarities. We never would have seen some of the orange card stuff without him. The R&B Greg, Brutus, Macho, TUGBOAT. Hasbros are my all time favourite, he didn't have to share that stuff with us. I have literally 0 merch of either Myers or Cardona but I like both guys and am very thankful for their contributions.
They've also helped to lift the stigma of being a figure collector for adults in a mainstream capacity.

I’m a fan of them, and Smart Mark, and I love their channel and the videos they put out. I’m in the same boat, don’t have their merch or are a big collector of their stuff aside from a figure I have of Matt. But while they are an acquired taste as you say, especially Matt, you can feel their love for collecting and we’d never have seen some of the stuff they have without them. They have made it cool to say “I collect” because of the brand they’ve created and the fact that you see so many more wrestlers being into collecting, along with more people that did embracing it and going more public with it. Not for everyone, sure. But you can’t argue with what they’ve done. Good on them!

Of all these figures lines imitating older lines id say these are the closest and best from a visual perspective, packaging is great too Also bendies is a brave decision - never the most popular line snd the metal tools for production are individual so they can’t mix and match like other figures can So far this line is 10/10 - just need to hold one in hand for the feel
