Looking at how the Social Media posts were bundled today, I think the Conrad/JJs are a My World-themed set and Danhausen is the only figure announced so far for series 2. http://instagram.com/p/CUxZnYSgSCg http://instagram.com/p/CUxZ6WIAI16

As for thoughts on the figs, the ones they’ve show so far in videos and etc. definitely look pretty in-line with the first and second series of Bendems. I might pick up at least Brian depending on the price.

Meh not interested in bendies as no nostalgic connection to them, not a fan of the pod at all but a fan of Conrad and Danhausen so good for them to get a payday off those guys. Have noticed a decline in interest with MWFP so would question if this was the best time for them to start a toy line, but all in all wishing them the very best in their future endeavours.

It's like when Seinfeld joked about Binaca. Give us the cherry flavor first! Then come out with the regular. Everyone wants the cherry!
Start with JJ and Danhausen, then release the ones of yourself.

This is actually an interesting thing. I have seen Major Pod demand down also -- Live X didn't sell out.
But I love the show -- and want it to continue with the current enthusiasm. But if sales/demand go down, hard to see that happening (them putting so much energy into it..)

I do wonder if they will address the folks they’ve alienated or even just ease up a bit. I listen to the show every week but can’t bring myself to support them financially while they put so much crap on the community. The big kicker for me is the voice Cardona does whenever he is speaking of any opinion different to his. If they just eased off a bit and understood different points of view they have a really good pod and already have massive support. Just my two cents and I’m sure it’ll be ignored or shot down, but hey that’s opinions.

Just my two cents and I’m sure it’ll be ignored or shot down, but hey that’s opinions. This is part of the problem, that started with humble beginnings and for the love of collecting, and was successful because of fan support and once they where secured with sponsors, gain influencer status, they turned on the fanbase, even to this day anyone who has a alternative opinion is talked down too. I am in total agreement, Cardona is condescending, argumentative, and entitled, he is one of the faces of the brand and that’s a bad thing in my opinion because of how he comes across as a person switchs others off wishing to support the brand. Again for their sake I hope I am wrong and they gain some success but their business is clearly down and the novelty is wearing off fast, I have seen “major marks” who defended that brand to no end now switch off completely. I think it would be a situation in that they self destruct from their own egos. Should be interesting all the same to see how these do in a market already overflowing with product. I would also warn anyone getting into this line and wishing to complete it to go in knowing products will become limited and at some-point impossible to complete as they follow the model of demand is greater than supply.

I'll never understand how people bought into the hype. It was obvious they were getting themselves over purely to make money off of the marks. Look at how much merch they've pushed. They're more carny than Colt Cabana. Atleast he's not an complete and utter bunghole like Cardona.

I think if they look at it realistically its luck and timing and them hiding their true personalities in the early episodes. The shows main success came at a time people had downtime and income as a result of COVID. But that outcome would have happened without their input. When all is said and done with I can see them having a mostly negative impact upon the collecting community in my opinion, I could be wrong of that but I don’t think I am.

Definitely don't need these. I already have a Jeff Jarrett Bend 'em, and I like it more than this because it's an attire that no other company has touched.
Zack Cardona has serious go-away heat with me. I couldn't be less interested in his work these days if I tried.

Money manipulates everything unfortunately. I still enjoy the program, especially as a wrestling fan, I think we have thick skin. I watch so many shoot interviews, or Cornette where I don’t even remotely agree or necessarily like what’s being said about other wrestlers or matches I DO like (I am an Ultimate Warrior fan after all haha), but I can watch it and take the opinion or criticism as their point of view and leave it at that. It doesn’t bother me per say.
I look at Cardona as that, he has a bit of a stance he has to take now that’s best for his business and I think any of us would do the exact same thing. Truth be told, if Mattel was sending me free figs & it was in my best interest to take the positive stance, so be it.

Very cool viewpoint dude and thought provoking at looking at the business aspect of it, but again I think this too is an issue those guys have, the view point they have of “if AEW sent you chase figures you’d take them, or if Mattel sent you free product you’d them etc” is actually a wrong one and one used as a crutch to justify their behaviour and not their attitude. There is a lot of collector influencers who have been offered such samples who decline in order to maintain their credibility and viewpoint as a collector to truly represent how rare a product is to obtain and review accordingly, thus the opinion is not that of an invested interest. This does not happen with the pod as it’s well documented their opinions can be bought. Their integrity and morals have been called into question a lot. So with that image within the collector community it is really interesting to see them attempt this venture. The outcome shall be an eye opening one. A lot of people hating on Conrad but the dude has a fanbase, maybe even more than all involved with MWFP. That said Danhausen is awesome as a wrestler. Big fan of his.

You have a valid point for sure, I don’t disagree at all with what you’re saying. It all depends I guess on what your in the game for. If you provide an honest opinion you’re going to greatly decrease your chances for access because eventually your going to cross paths and not see eye to eye. Mattel won’t be inviting you backstage at NYCC to photograph the new figs, so if honesty is your game, it’s going to be hard to also be the first to break new product or get access/ partnerships. WHICH IS FINE, you can make a living or have a great channel being honest for sure! Cornette craps on EVERYTHING that exists except Smoky Mountain Wrestling haha, and he makes money because he attracts those kinds of people. On the opposite side, if you play nice & like I said, you don’t have to LIE but just share the positive parts of your opinion, you’ll get access to Mattel and free stuff and that I’m sure will help your Chanel grow. So I think it’s just 2 routes, I don't think they are disingenuous by sharing their positive views because let’s face it, they are in the spotlight & they have more to lose by being negative than they have to gain. If I was in their position, I would do the same thing because it’s action figures, really what do I care what I’m paid for? Haha ya know. It’s their job, it’s not like you or me criticizing and we have only something to gain. But anytime money is at stake, I mean, I answer phones all day for money. You know how many times I wanna tell the person go F themselves, or that’s not broken you’re just an idiot haha. I don’t though because I get paid to be nice on behalf of my employer, what do I care? And for all I know, the pendulum is swinging more towards people being honest having the bigger followings these days. I know when I’d listen to Hasbros Marvel Legends team tell influencers we don’t need you, you need us, I certainly felt like they should be thrashed online. Screw that haha. Anyway, just my stance haha. Personally, I didn’t buy Zack Ryder figures when he was in WWE, so I’m not interested now. I’m not the market here, I love Conrad Thompson and listen to him almost daily, I don’t need a figure of him lol.

There’s a lot of “their” attitude being said.
For me I still really enjoy listening to Bryan. A pod or so ago he called Matt out as being ‘carnie’ I'm sure in a joking way about something - maybe matt saying he’d help promote a product if he got a cut. I think Bryan’s just a down to Earth family guy who appreciates what he has in life snd doesn’t take it all too serious
Mark is sometimes cool but has turned into matt lite on occasion

I think Bryan’s just a down to Earth family guy who appreciates what he has in life snd doesn’t take it all too serious Mark is sometimes cool but has turned into matt lite on occasion Great observation! Out of the three Brian seems like the type of guy I can sit and have a beer with, I will say the only time I have seen him display the same attitude as Matt was actually the last episode I ever listened to. In which an explanation had to be provide for Matt referring to himself as a journalist, this required a statement as those within the media field have to maintain journalistic integrity by refraining from accepting gifts, reporting facts etc this conflicted as it was documented ringside and other companies provided gifts and other things to the pod, thus needed clarity with regards to influencers and code of conduct, which is why they are now stating everything is their opinion. But I remember Brian being quick to say that any mention of the term journalist goes right out the window to maintain his free product. That to me was insightful as it showed he is somewhat like Cardona but more low-key. Mark seems to be tagging along and from what I have seen he would be better doing his own thing with All Ego as he is actually starting to outgrow the pod with regards to star power with being signed to AEW, and he and Page appear to have more in common. Again just my opinion. But out of the three Brian otherwise seems like a good dude. But to stay on point they have to be aware that there is this perception of them as people and when such is perceived, why do they think people with exception of the small minority support their products and action figure line.
