I watched the new TCM...it was something. I hated all the main characters and was rooting for Leatherface to dispatch them all. The bus massacre was probably the highlight for me.
IMO, they just can't get Leatherface right and should just let the franchise go away...and that's hard for me to say since I like the first 2 and the remake from 03. The rest were awful, especially TCM 3D... "Do your thing, cuz."

I described the new TCM to people as..”it was alright” like it was fine, I went in with low expectations and I thought it went my quickly and I was entertained but it wasn’t “good” I liked the plot of it probably a little better than the execution.

Watched Halloween Kills & after 30 mins or so I turned it off. It’s awful.
Watched TCM 2022 & it was even worse.
The name/fame grab is ridiculous. This is why horror movies are my least favorite genre.

I enjoyed Kills well enough though it didn’t feel like it was in the same universe as the original or the 2018 movie.
Haven’t watch the new TCM because I know I will hate it.
I’m still mad at how bad the new Scream was. I hated it so damn much.

The lead actress was wooden as hell. Force ghost Billy was so stupid. How did she know how he looked when he died. Why no bullet hole in the head? Why was he kind of a good guy in her head? The major death of a franchise character felt flat and empty. The returning characters involvement felt unneeded. The killer reveal was meh. The sh** was the stove was crap. AND HOW DO YOU USE RED RIGHT HAND IN A SCENE NOT INVOLVING DEWEY!? I just felt annoyed the whole time and days later Also outside Randy’s niece, I didn’t care about any of the new characters. And that was mainly just because I’m a fan of the actress. |

I thought the new Scream was really good, watched it the first time and enjoyed it but when I saw it for the second time it moved up the list of Scream movies to probably 2nd or 3rd.

Finally got around to framing my Friday the 13th Part 2 poster. I was putting it off because I hope to add more signatures to it but it might be a while before I can. Really wish they would get back to this franchise.  |

I live 10 minutes from Blairstown, NJ. They filmed parts of the first Friday the 13th here. Every Friday the 13th, they have a showing of the film at Roy's Hall & sometimes have guests from the films there. Seeing how it's such a small town, it's amazing to see how far some die-hard fans will go to it.

Seeing how it's such a small town, it's amazing to see how far some die-hard fans will go to it. I went up that way back in the late 90s to visit locations. I was not allowed at the camp though. I did visit the street spots they filmed at. I really want to revisit them all again. The only ones I've never been to are the locations for 3,4, and 5. |

So it's been announced that Halloween Ends will be coming to Peacock and theaters in October. I think it's kind of dumb that they're doing the dual release again for this like they did for Kills. It would be cool if one or the other was a different cut of the movie so it would draw people in to see it both in theaters and on Peacock, but I'm not holding my breath.
