Feels so fitting that the Tunes recruited MJ (literally KIDNAPPED him) to help them outta dire straits.
LeB*tch has to recruit THEM to help out in HIS situation.
Can't wait for the scene where he walks back to the locker room with 5 min left in the game.
10/10

WOW, the Lebron hatred is real. I'm in the minority here, but the first Space Jam was trash (except for Bill Murray), Jordan is the most overrated athlete in the history of sports (How many titles did he win "by himself"?), and Lebron is god.

Difference is MJ stayed with the Bulls and won with who they drafted, aside from Rodman who is in no way a dynamic superstar that put them over the top. Lebron has constantly ran to where he can build a stacked team with multiple stars and superstars. The talent he has played with is like 4 or 5 times what MJ did. What did lebron ever win alone? Hell, he has lost multiple finals when he had the better team. Dudes a joke.

The Cavs team against the Spurs ('07 I want to say) had no business even being there, he was the only one who showed up for the Heat against the Spurs in '14, in '15 due to injuries the Cavs second best player ended up being who? Matthew Dellavedova (and LeBron was still the best player on the court for both teams)? The Warriors of '17 and '18 are pretty self explanatory. It's weird to defend LeBron like I'm some big fan because I'm really not. I just hate the argument people make that somehow he's a lesser player because he has a losing Finals record, like somehow we'd look more favorably upon him if he had just lost in the second round or conference finals those years.

Lebron > steph Kyrie > Draymond Love > klay Unless you're telling me that Shaun Livingston is the difference maker, the cavs had more talent until KD showed up. Injuries happen. Look at this years playoffs. Yikes. I can even argue Lebron > kd Kyrie > steph (not in my mind but check the message boards from 4,5,6 years ago) Love > Draymond So even then Klay Thompson as the 4th best player on the team was GS first "win" so to speak. There was nowhere near enough of a talent deficit to lose 4 games to 1. It wasnt until kyrie was gone that they were the vastly inferior team. And of course that mavs series you mentioned is the 2nd biggest finals flop I've ever witnessed (behind Lakers getting owned by detroit). Ask yourself would MJ have lost that finals. But I dont wanna get too far gone here because this is about space jam.

Look at this years playoffs. Yikes. lol I'm about to derail this thread by not even talking about LeBron anymore but vehemently defending the name of Klay Thompson (Love isn't better, get that ish outta here). But in all seriousness I'm with you that the '15-'16 Cavs and Warriors are relatively equal, but when Kyrie and Love didn't even play it's irrelevant. The "injuries happen" isn't so much of an excuse as it is an explanation (and when they were healthy the following year they won). Now you're stretching. Word, and it gave me great joy to watch.

All I know of basketball is from Space Jam and The Last Dance. Jordan reminds me of a mob boss and that’s why he is the ing greatest of all time. Lebron was good in Trainwreck though. Without Bill Murray or Wayne Knight, I’m not sure I’m into the new one. I hope that at the end it’s revealed Jordan is now the villain and he kills someone like Wylie Coyote and this becomes the next Fast and The Furious type franchise.

LeBum is a complete scumbag turd and part of me wants this to bomb just to see him knocked down another peg but the scenario you just presented with Jordan being the big twist, cameo villain at the end and killing off a LT character would so insanely unexpected and subversive to what everyone is expecting out of this movie I'd actually LOVE to see it play out this way.

Lebanon James is one of the most gifted athletes of this generation and is a genetic freak......at the same time so is someone like Cam Newton....But you're not ing taking Cam Newton over Tom Brady. MJ had you beat before you even stepped on the court. MJ got beat up by the Pistons and he hit the gym, got bigger and made sure it didnt happen again. Lebron gets his eye poked or catched a cramp and has to be carried off the court. MJ legit ruined Mugsy Bogues career by saying "Shoot it you ing midget" and Byron Russell has stated that the last shot MJ took as a Bull haunted him for the rest of his career. Jordan makes you call him The GOAT....James wants you to call him that.

LOL @ all the LeBron butthurt in this thread.
Anyways, I’m indifferent to this. I’m sure it’ll have some neat special effects though.
I love you.

Love the first Space Jam. The soundtrack was one of my favorites as a kid. Cartoon Network did a special recently where they showed Space Jam, but the music was mostly replaced. Depressed the mood of the entire thing. I naturally blame LB for that as well.

If the new one doesn't have Newman does it even have any right calling itself Space Jam tbh? It's a basketball story more or less.

I was a little old for it when the original came out, so it wasn't something I was interested in or ever watched. This one reminds me a lot of the original (trailers/previews/commercials/talk/hype), and I expect about the same quality.
I'm not a big fan of athletes acting in lead roles if they're not good at acting. Jordan wasn't good, and James doesn't seem to be, either. Looney Tunes are great, though. I hope it's good for all the people that are looking forward to it.
