I am beyond excited for Thundercats!!! They definitely need to bring out Tygra and Cheetara to generate interest in the collector community. And it would be great if they reissue the previous 7, including Wily Kit and Kat. I really don't want to pay secondary market prices for Mummra, Panthro, Pumyra, and Jackalman. And it'd be nice for all those who sold their collection lol.

100% agreed. I love Funko to death, but they don't know the action figure market. It seems like if something doesn't move a billion units, they pull the plug on it. I thought for sure they would just release the entire Cats series in one shot, but seeing that they split them up makes me sad. We're never going to get the other four. Zorn and Disney Afternoon went to clearance. MK seemed to sell pretty well at first and then quickly tapered off. Now they're releasing these Savage World He-Man/Horror mashups and I doubt those will move either. All I really wanted out of this Savage World series was the four Cats and Conan and Thulsa Doom. Who knows if that's possible. I never understood the love for the POP Funkos, I never would have thought in all my years collecting that they would have taken off the way they have. I still look at them in stores and say to myself, WTF? But each to their own. I have heard it from many collectors and retailers, POP’s are this generations beanie babbies. In another few years when the buzz pops ( no pun intended) these will all drop in value to the point that Dollar General will pick them up. Oh the landfills that will harvest the souls of Pop collectors in the next decade or less is sad.

I got my Super 7 vintage figures last week but haven't had a chance to post them. I am super happy with these figures. They're pricey at $20 a piece but they're much better quality than the Thundercats figures from Funko. I wish the Cats were a little smaller because the scale is slightly off between the two waves. I got doubles of He-man and Skeletor to open because I primarily planned on buying these for my son to have to open and play with, but I might go back and grab extras of She-ra and Hordak too and double down on my wave 2 pre orders. These are just super cool and remind me so much of the originals that I had as a kid.

They stand pretty well. The legs really only have the one pose for standing but there is a joint where the legs connect to the trunks so you can move the legs freely if you want. I would say they can tip backwards if you’re really trying to knock them over because they have that natural squat position but they by no means just tip over when you pose them. I forgot to mention they have the slingshot function too like the originals. So if you turn back the torso and let go it will swing forward to simulate the sword swing action. I thought that was a cool nod. That was probably the worst explanation ever but if you had the old ones you know what I mean.

I just realized something about Thundercats.
When Lion-O signals the other Thundercats with the Sword of Omens, it's just like a giant laser pointer.
I'm in a simple mood today, folks. I found it funny!

Back to back Karg's from Super 7. the movie figures do look good never really thought they would happen especially since Mattel never did He-Man and Skeletor back when the movie came out, they only had the rights for Blade, Gwildor, and Saurod even from when they did the classics line. They also announced the Power-Con exclusive Zombie Horde He-Man, and Slamurai/ Snake Troopers. Plus Conan and Toxie in Masters Classics scale and style.

Mattel had their faults with the Masters Classics line, but they never forced you to buy a complete set to get the figures you wanted. The subscriber had the exclusive figure, and mostly all figures were day of sales for everyone to get them. He-Man and Skeletor in any form should be evergreen anchor figures available all the time. Conan the Barbarian is also up for pre-order from Super 7. I have a month to think about if I want these.

Hopefully this is redemption and a complete team of Thundercats. Bandai screwed up(in the modern and classics), Mattel screwed up. The Jaga and Grune they showed last year at Power-Con was a knife in the back as they had no intention of releasing them just torturing everyone by showing them. Even just the core team would be great from both sides. everything after would be icing on the cake. I need a Vultureman always liked him as a kid.

Super 7's Thundercats announced today as Ultimates 4 re-issues from Mattel's line Lion-O, Panthro, Jackalman, and Mumm-Ra much like they did with their first wave of Masters Ultimates bunch of extras. 45.00 a figure and you don't need to get a full set.

Probably not buying any of the Ultimates. I don't care for any of the new heads. The Book of Omens is really cool but not enough that I'm spending $50 for it. Ultimates are fine to get people onboard who missed out or whatever but I need to see Tygra, Cheetara, Monkian and Slithe. So hopefully this weekend. Just don't break our hearts here Super7. I want to be excited but we've gotten incomplete lineups so many times over the last decade and it's just four damn figures.
I'm positive we'll see Grune and Jaga quickly since S7 can just grab those molds GG made for Mattel.
My major needs for this line are:
Tygra Cheetara Mumm-Ra EL Monkian Slithe Bengali Snarf Jaga Grune And a Thundertank.
Plenty of other stuff I'd love like Lynx-O, Vultureman, Snowman, Tuska Warrior, Ma-Mutt, Mongor and Ratar-O, but if it doesn't happen, and we get those others, I would be extremely happy with what S7 got us. Fingers crossed.

Take this with a grain of salt, I read on thefwoosh the first wave of Thundercats will be Tygra, Slithe, Grune, and Jaga supposedly they say it was shown to a few people privately. Maybe this week-end at power-con we'll know more. No one is asking for much just a complete set of the main teams from the Cats and Mutants. everything after is a bonus.

Seems like Thundercats fans just got super lucky because of the He-man situation. S7 is losing that property for 2020, at a minimum, and they’re going gas to the floor with Thundercats because of it. I’ll take it. 16 figures in 2020 sounds incredible if they can really do it.
Conan is a cool property but outside of Conan and Doom, I’m not spending $35-45 a figure to collect that line. I’d like to see them do more a few figures here and few there for that kind of stuff. Primarily because I want them to make Madmartigan from Willow.

Holy cr@p! Those Conan figures are amazing. I always wanted figures of Conan, Rexor and Thorgrim. Now if someone would just make characters from Clint Eastwood’s spaghetti western trilogy I can die a happy man.

I wish they would being back the Thundercats cartoon. It was just getting interesting and then they cancelled it with a cliffhanger.

Forgot to post about it but the second wave of Savage World Cats are coming from Funko. It’s surprising to say the least since the first wave was all clearanced out pretty much everywhere but I’ll take it. EE and BB both have them up for preorder for Q4. This is probably going to be the last hurrah for the Savage World line too. It's going to depend on how well these sell, and I have to say, I'm not thinking the line is going to be saved. I don't know if the Super 7 deal is what led to the cancellation of the Conan figures, but I'd have felt a little more sure that those would have sold better than this Thundercats set. I know the Zorn figures wasn't well received, the Mortal Kombat figures should have been in their classic attires, and the horror figures probably would have looked better if they hadn't "super heroed" them up, but I dug most of what was released so far and would have liked to see them take a crack at some other 80's properties. I think Silverhawks, Bravestarr, Galaxy Rangers, Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Sectaurs, Thundarr, Ghostbusters, and Street Sharks would have fit in with this style very well.
