It hurts to vote against Green Day but The Black Album is one of my favorite albums.

LoL ....you must be of the Gwar / Danzig type army....I recently seen an interview with Glenn Danzig where he completely ran down bands like I just listed & also 70’s bands like Journey....said they were “commercial” & “shoved down everyone’s throats” ....I was like whatever dude at least those bands that are commercial in his opinion are tolerable & listenable ....sounded like a point of jealousy on his part to me because they’ve sold FAR more albums than his genre of “music” (and I use the term music here very loosely) could ever hope to sell in a lifetime

Def wouldn't call myself part of an "army" of either though...but it sounds to me like Danzig wasn't far off in that interview. Lol So with your logic of bands being better based off how many albums they sold, you are basically saying that Backstreet Boys are better than a band like Faith No More? Or that Shania Twain is better than Ministry? Is Brittany Spears better than Tool? Lol This is all subjective...nobody is right or wrong...it's just that if I made a list of my 100 favorite albums from the 90's...none of those albums would even cross my mind.

That he is & it showed during the interview....he kept looking around like he was paranoid or just didn’t wanna be there or something, also seemed really agitated & was short with the interviewer & the questions he was asking.....I’m thinking ok if you’re going to act like that then why sit down for an interview in the first place.....Idk if there’s any truth to it or not but I heard Danzig is an atheist & that alone is enough to turn me away from listing to someone, doesn’t matter who it is

I mean if we are going based on rock, when pop and rap dominated the 90s music wise, I’m going with Hellbilly Deluxe by Rob Zombie.

I like a lot of it....mostly classic rock & bands like those listed on the poll....I really don’t know a lot about the personal side of most of them & it’s probably better that way....just enjoy the music, in the end that’s what it’s all about anyways I guess ..... Yeah I have to agree with previous posts, if I listed a 100 favorites of the 90s none of these would make the list. I don't own any of these records but if forced to pick between these, it's Ten and that's only because of Black.

Ok I’m beginning to feel like I’ve crossed into the twilight zone here with the majority of these comments & only one person voting ... LoL .....of these four, they are all classic albums that damn near everyone I’ve ever talked to (outside of this poll) absolutely love & even if they don’t like them all there’s always at least two of these that are held in high regards ...so why so much hate from you guys?? ....if you don’t like any of these then who exactly is it you listen too? .....do you not like these because you feel they’re too “corporate” , “mainstream” , “commercial” or “overrated”?? .... Please help me to understand the reason of your detest

Please help me to understand the reason of your detest I wouldn't say that I detest them I just don't listen to them. I lived through this era, I was a senior in high school when Cobain killed himself and know that these were the rage in the halls. The 90's is also when most Country music labels stopped pressing vinyl so my Country artist are not represented very well here.

It's weird that you're eating so much sh*t for this post. I know WF likes to play the whole pretentious deck when talking about music, but mayyyyybe with the exception of the Black Album (which is stellar in its own right and an integral piece of my own library), every one of these albums is practically synonymous with the 90s. Yeah, they're all MaInStReAm and I could just as easily put together a hundred albums from the same decade I like more, but nobody is going to do a broad piece on 90s culture and talk about some of the obscure releases being thrown about here. They're going to talk about 3/4 of these albums, plus the apparent horror to some people that is the boy-band wave, Britney and Christina, so on, and so forth.
Your poll is closed, but in terms of personal preference, it probably goes:
Dookie Black Album Nevermind Ten

Lol not to mention put Dookie above that.
