No where up there. It was pretty lack luster to me. This is def the first Wrestlemania that I wasnt hyped about; not one match. The matches seemed to be thrown together last minute. Shane is not on TV all year and he gets a match. Ricochet, a talented as guy couldn't be there and take that spot...
They used the pirate theme that they used from the year before. I guess to use the "ship" as the stage piece; not to waste money. Reusing the same theme was lame to me too

From like 32 on I can’t even distinguish the WrestleManias. This, and that’s not a good thing. From 32-37, the only one that stands out to me is 35 for the Kofi and Becky wins. When you can’t think of a single moment from a WM that stands out for years to come, it’s not an all time great. Since 31, I’d probably rank em... 31 35 33 36 37 32 34 And 31 is the only one I’d consider around my top 10.

Honestly the only rankings that would carry credibility of all 37 Wrestlemania's would be someone who is at least 50years old. Yes we can all go back and watch them and rank them but I feel like only someone around teenage age could remember the atmosphere and the build up in the months and weeks prior. No you couldn't read about it because we know how Vince loves to rewrite history.
Stand alone matches on a card yes I guess we could all rank our favorites but the Road to Wrestlemania is what would captivate us and leave us fulfilled or empty when the curtain draws on the last match.

I think it will probably end up in the middle. It’s not there with the all timers but in no way is close to 11, 9, 27, 25, 28 in terms of the event being overly bad.

I’d argue maybe late 20s/early 30s age ranges have a reasonable perspective as well. The excitement and hype for let’s say WM 21 was light years away from an event like 37. Just going off that example, nearly every match on that card had months of firm buildup sans maybe 1-2, but it was crystal clear why everyone was fighting each other and even now 16 years later, having not even watched that event live but rather having read the results online, I can go down the match card and to this day tell you exactly what story 8 out of 9 matches were built around. Compare that to WM 37 that I just watched live not even a full week ago and I couldn’t tell you why 4/5ths of the matches took place storyline wise outside of “(X) won the Royal Rumble” or “(X) attacked (Y) 2 weeks ago backstage for no real reason so now there’s a WM match” Even the celebrity appearances are handled poorly now. I had no clue Logan Paul was even going to be at WM because I missed the last couple SD’s before it and didn’t find out until the Sami/KO hype package was playing before their match at WM.

The issue there is most old heads let nostalgia control their perspective. It’s all opinion based obviously, but most classic fans have the mindset that wrestling isn’t as good as it used to be.

I agree for the most part. However, It’s hard to argue that the era of spinner belt and jorts or the current era of wearing black and acting “fed up” is any good.

Probably between 10-15,the two main events alone puts its in the top 20 not counting the other great matches on the card.

That’s just the thing, I can tell you moments I liked such as the Kofi win, but I couldn’t tell you what number Mania that was for crap haha. They stopped numbering them anyway, who’s dumb decision was that!? It individualizes them, it doesn’t make it sound old! It sounds like it’s got a history to it. It identified them.

I like that this mania was mostly current full time stars and not tons of Legends & Partiners

Hard to say, but I doubt anything will ever top X7. This might have been my favorite since 32.

I have a love/hate for it.
I think with a more structured card with better build ups; the two night format is fantastic. We saw lots of good matches. So many good matches sprinkled in. Sheamus-Riddle I thought was hidden little gem; very hard hitting. I think the endings and the booking threw it off. The build up was nothing. And the big show feeling from Mania has been gone for a while.
Watching shows like WM 19-24; they're was just this epic feel to it. And I think the 00's blessed with great to exceptional Mania's. WM 20; had it's lagging moments; but it felt important and very special. Like a home coming; and the underwhelming was more of WWE just trying to get everyone on the card. Making it very good show; even with some weak or forgettable matches. WM 21 was fantastic Mania; that felt special. WM 22; had big show feeling; it's my least favorite of the mid/late 00 Manias; nothing to write home about. WM 23 and 24 both were fantastic shows. The presentation; feeling; build up; to these shows I think WWE has continued to fail and replicate.
WM 30/WM 31 were two back to back amazing Mania's. And I thought WM 35 was a good effort; but the show fizzled out due to how much was on the card.
Watching WM 37 just felt like any PPV. It was good; but it could of been light years better.

Agreed 100%. I put in another thread the other week that I feel Wrestlemanias 17-24 are “peak” WM where the shows just had an epic feeling and they all gave us memorable moments (18 and 22 are the “weakest” WMs in that span IMO but still had their moments). Since then, the WWE just hasn’t been able to replicate those. 26, 30, and 31 are close as a whole show, and 28 had somewhat of an “epic” feel with the main event despite the show itself not being the best, but 25, 27, and 29 just miss the Mark entirely. And 32-37 all feel the same to me outside of 35 with the Kofi and Becky wins. The past decade of WMs with lack of character and story builds, Cole’s forced “this is a WM moment” and sign-pointing crap just has killed the event for me.

Despite it being heel heavy on wins, particularly on night 2, it was quite a feel good Mania with the return of a crowd and a feeling of normality with brighter days ahead for us that added a lot to it.
Bit like past year getting extra points for me as it provided entertainment and a chance to forget about the world going to crapfor a couple of nights.
An important one as much as a good one. Top 10 for me.

Watching it back my only complaints are Hogan, Bayley not having a match, and the night one women’s tag. All pretty minor. Almost every other match was good to great. Some surprising results. Good use of celebrities (Not including the singing of America The Beautiful because I don’t watch that part anyways). Some big moments. Didn’t rely on stars of the past. Put over the future. Plus a hot crowd that mostly didn’t try and get itself over. Two nights also helped it fly by. Put Bayley with Carmella in the tag and have them win and only have Titus host and it would be pretty close to flawless for me.

Whether you love him or hate him, Hogan is still more over in 2021 than nearly the entire WWE roster. That says a lot.
