I'm hoping for two packs, Unrivaled style.
However, if they are a line of "basics," I am okay with this, too (if they look good and play well.)
Not interested in a Legends line. I was as many of the AEW roster as possible.

From info Jeremy has shared before, Unmatched sounds like it will be be really similar to Unrivaled. So probably $20 price point, same articulation. The idea is to ship Unrivaled one month, Unmatched the next, and so on so that there is always AEW product in stores.
This is probably also where we see legends start to come into play. But remember, we're still talking about a mass market retail product. So there will continue to be top names, repaints, and they're probably not going to be digging too deep into the roster. Think more along the lines of maybe Kip Sabian or Colt Cabana than Peter Avalon or QT Marshall.

But probably single figures, and $20. It's possible it could be a legends line, or at least include some legends.

They do...and that's why they're doing it this way. So there are always AEW figures in the store (in theory). Think of how with WWE sometimes the pegs sit empty for a month until the next Elite series comes out. This way there's always SOMETHING new coming out for people to buy.

Every time you say its name, 5 more appear at Target.

I have a feeling, whether singles or two-packs, these may be cheaper priced figures with less articulation in order to get out some of the lower card guys and also appeal to parents wanting to buy their kids figures (of upper and mid card talent) but not spend as much money. I'm all for that if it helps get out some of those lower on the roster who otherwise may not get figures. If they are going to have less articulation, I was hoping they would call them "Unhinged" lol.

They might be saving some of the more wanted first time in line figures for this first series to show retailers how fast they’ll sell.

what they want and what will actually happen are likely two different things lets be honest. if mattel cant keep a steady rotation of products on the shelves of walmart, neither will jazwares and what we will get is a constant backlog of sets showing up all over the place at all different times. walmart doesnt give a FLYING about toys. they just want to sell product. their warehouse people dont care. their store people dont care. this goes way beyond AEW figures

It splits the SKUs, much like how Hasbro treats ML, where each sub line has its own SKU. If retailers don't order enough product to meet demand, that's a different issue. But it should help prevent the backlog that happens when one or two pegwarmers can completely backlog an entire series.

Interested to see why this was pinned...doubt the pre-order would go up now if they're due in the fall.

Ringside's posts are claiming this will be the "same style" as the Unrivaled line. So I if they mean articulation, I guess these would likely be two packs to distinguish between the two lines more than just the names. That being said - I claim rights to "Unhinged" if they go with figures with less articulation. lol

For added context:
So it's looking like these will basically be sibling series with different SKU's.
