WWE definitely SHOULD have done a 2 minute video package highlighting his WWE career. He's dead and gone and never coming back. He spent 7 YEARS in WWE and less than 1 year in AEW. He wasn't like most of the older ex-wrestlers who haven't wrestled for WWE since the 90's. I was never a fan of Luke Harper, but he deserved more than a generic flash graphic, especially as one of the youngest active-wrestler deaths in the industry. WWE had 4 days to slap together some video clips over a song, it wasn't like it was short notice. They really lost my respect tonight. It was 2 days, but still. Personally I don’t need a video package, or even a 10 bell salute. Hearing a wrestler(s) worlds means more to me, but sure if that wasn’t going to be allowed during Raw then slapping together some kind of video package would’ve worked. I’m sure in Vince’s mind he didn’t meet the criteria to be featured like a Pat Patterson for example. Not to nitpick, but he died on the 26th, raw was on the evening of the 28th, so "26, 27, and most of 28" would count as 3 days (I was up late when I posted Monday and the calendar had already turned to the 29th which made me count 4, but still). WWE has worked under tighter deadlines for tributes to other dead wrestlers, no pun intended. They simply didn't care enough to try.

Not to nitpick, but AEW’s announcement of his passing was roughly 8:30 PM on Saturday. Leaving just under 48 hours until Raw went live. So, two days. There was talk that WWE filmed some things during the day on Monday prior to Raw, so perhaps they’ll end up airing some kind of show on the network or something. Time will tell if anything comes of that.

I swear sometimes WWE can't do anything right, if they did a ten bell salute or video package. I wouldn't be surprised if they would have been accused of doing it before AEW out of spite. Has it occurred to anyone on here that perhaps there letting AEW honour his memory first seeing as he was with them and not WWE. You know maybe out of respect?

Has it occurred to anyone on here that perhaps there letting AEW honour his memory first seeing as he was with them and not WWE. You know maybe out of respect? I don't have a problem with how WWE has handled it to be honest. If Brodie was sad to have left WWE, not active in AEW, etc, then I'd get it. But lets be real, the dude was much happier outside WWE, was being paid to sit at home at the end of his WWE run, and wasn't happy with his role there. He got his chance to be the wrestler he thought he could be in AEW, and he took it. He was much happier there, and his family was happier too. I don't mean this in a malicious way, but I would be surprised if Amanda (or Brodie JR/Nolan) is even all that concerned about how WWE handles his death. AEW literally just signed a contract promising Brodie JR a job when he turns 18 if he wants it. They're being taken care of, and they found their wrestling family. Again I don't mean this as a "boo WWE bad" thing at all. AEW was the better fit for Brodie and his family, and they're doing a great job of honoring him and taking care of his family. Anything else WWE does is probably going to be more served to help their own roster grieve than provide tributes to Brodie, and that's kinda fine. That said I'll also pretty much guarantee that they aren't letting AEW honor his memory first out of respect. If they were doing that, they wouldn't be actively avoiding retweeting any AEW condolences. That's the thing I'm actually a bit ticked about. Like dude's dead and you're worried about retweeting condolences because you think it's going to drive viewers to the competition? C'mon man. I'm actually really curious to see if Xavier Woods gets in trouble for retweeting about the AEW tribute show today.

I’m very happy how this turned out. Harper has been one of my favorites for the last decade so it seemed appropriate to add a tribute of him to my wrestling leg sleeve. I know tattoos in general aren’t big for a lot of people but again, I love it.

I dig it. If you aren't going to get a 100% photo real of someone, something very simplistic with minimal line work like that is the way to go imo. Portrait tattoos go wrong when they try to be photo real but fail miserably.

Portrait tattoos go wrong when they try to be photo real but fail miserably. I’ve never been big on realistic portraits too. Traditional style more fits with the rest of my work so it all works out. Just wanted something quick and easy that represents the man himself.

Guts me every time I see Xavier talk about him, because the three times I've seen him talk (video after it happened, where he had a compilations of Harper's moments on Up, Up, DoWn, Down, on Raw Talk with Kofi and R-Truth, and this video), he's fighting so hard to not break out into tears.

If you’re bitching about WWE “not doing enough” for Brodie keep in mind Umaga and Lance Cade didn’t even get a graphic before Raw

Jon Huber's wife Amanda wrote the following post in an Instagram story regarding the "divide" between WWE and AEW fans: “So many people expect myself and my family to hate on wwe. The fact is, we don’t. We never have. My husband absolutely got frustrated because he wanted more than they had envisioned for him. That didn’t mean he hated them. The frustration didn’t change the real & genuine love that our family has for pro wrestling. WWE gave my husband a platform. It enabled him to live his dream. A dream he *almost* gave up on. He was able to travel the world, in his dream job. He got to entertain millions of people. He got to build a beautiful life for our family. He held singles gold there. He won a belt at WrestleMania! He ticked so many 'Dream Life' boxes there. He just happened to want a little more out of his career. That’s why he left. Not out of hate. Not because they’re an evil company. He left because his vision didn’t match theirs. The most incredible thing he took away from his time in WWE was the people. The people he carried with him until his very last days. It wasn’t one company vs another. Little Brodie loves wrestling. We still watch wrestling every week. We would tune in to see “Uncle Boom-Boom” @wwecesaro and family best friend @wwebige people that transcended the lines of friendship into family. People in the WWE watched my kids grow up. They loved my husband so much they welcomed my family into their arms. They became my family too. The flood of love I’ve received from the WWE is real and it’s beautiful. In my husbands final moments, the people that surrounded my family were wrestlers. Companies didn’t matter. Please, I beg you. Stop trying to create a divide in wrestling. Support pro wrestling. Love pro wrestling. Live your life like Brodie. In a way that people speak like this.”

She is absolutely right. You may not like how one organization or another books their wrestlers or make the champion, but the idea is to be entertained and they have always done so for me. There are wrestlers that I do not particularly like, but I can look at my computer or do something else during their matches if that happens.

She's dead on, and I can't think of a single wrestler who has endorsed hating the other company (in either direction) outside of kayfabe angles, which is a totally different thing.
I still like the Wrestlingwithregret guys line the most. Like what you like, and don't be a d***.

I don't think what she said will change a lot(hope I'm wrong) but if her saying this stops couple people from doing what she's saying I think it be great. You can tell by her just doing this how much the business means to her,Jon and their family. Imo this is incredible of her at a time like this to take her time doing this for the community. I never understood why people would make fun or call people names just because they watched a different show then they do.

Very sad that he passed away. 41 is just to goddamn young.
And to those who were complaining that the WWE didn't do enough and whatnot. I don't see you saying anything about all the tributes and whatnot that are all over their social media and website, etc. They waited, as they should have, for the company he was working for to honor him first. Not sorry to say, but if WWE did all the things people are screaming about first, everyone would be crying that Vince is trying to capitalize on this and damn Vince to hell like they do for everything else. You know it's true.
RIP Jon Huber.

And to me that's sad, that there are people that would use Brodie's death as an excuse to take shots at them. To me, I think WWE did it right. Brodie died on the 26th, and on the 28th they started to film the pieces with wrestlers sharing their love for the man. Remember, they're not on the road doing house shows, so Monday was probably the first time after he passed, where they had the roster together. Considering AEW was his promotion at the time, to me it was up to them to do the full on tribute show to him (and they did a great job with it).

Did WWE even verbally acknowledge his passing on the show? I've seen the subtle nods, but did they have the commentary team speak on his passing? All in all, I do feel like he warranted more thought. He did a lot of time in WWE.
