That ing sucks. People die and it's sad but like this year...this and Kobe and Boseman and Trebek...damn man. Didnt watch AEW but enjoyed the hell out of Luke Harper. Very sad.

There's no word anywhere about the cause. My wife and I were talking about it and it sounds like a pulmonary embolism. Agreed my Wife and I were just discussing this as well and that can be a result of complications from a surgery If true also my Mom passed on Christmas Morning from that when I was about the same age as his children So my my heart goes out to those children On a very personal level as It changes your life in so many ways

This year could not end could it? We all know people pass away eventually, but losing such athletes, celebrities, and just people in general this year has been the absolute worst. Kobe passing away earlier this year should've been the first sign that 2020 was going to be a really bad year.

I believe his wife posted something that mentioned a "non-COVID related lung issue." Tragic no matter the cause. A pulmonary embolism is a blood clot in the lung(s) Appreciate the insight I wasn't aware the two were related. Prayers for his family.

Like I mentioned in the AEW thread of his passing, it sucks doubly for his family due to the timing. It's never easy to lose someone, but to lose them during the holidays, a time that's supposed to be happy, it really can just make the pain worse, because in following years, you always have that attached to the holiday season. When you look at all the responses from wrestlers coming out, whether they're AEW, WWE or elsewhere, the one common thread in all of them, was how much he loved his family, and how much of a good man he was. This was truly the loss of one of the real good ones.

My jaw has been on the floor for about 5 minutes. I can't believe what I just read.

There's no word anywhere about the cause. My wife and I were talking about it and it sounds like a pulmonary embolism. It sounds like he had some type of cancer in his lungs. That is why he hasn't been in AEW for awhile. It was very progressive.

My jaw has been on the floor for about 5 minutes. I can't believe what I just read. I feel the exact same way. Always puts things into perspective when I am sitting here randomly checking the site and reading that a family just lost a loved one right after Christmas. What a terrible loss.

Almost two years ago I tweeted weekly “Luke Harper is my favorite wrestler.” I was such a fan of the guy and always wanted to see him succeed. The Wyatts vs The Shield is in my top five favorite matches of all time. This hurts. A lot. Haven’t been this sad about a wrestler passing since Eddie. Rest In Power to an absolute great.

Was just about to post it. Bray did a good tribute to a fallen friend, and once I started seeing wrestlers sending their thoughts, it was Bray's that I was interested to see.

this is just an absolute gut punch. on every level. he was a true wrestling talent all the way. im fortunate to have been able to see his work, even if it wasn't for a very long period. reading Bray's tribute was heart wrenching too. this world, this life...its something else.

That's upsetting, he was in my top 5 from the PG era. My condolences to his close friends and family.

I'm so shocked and devastated by this. He was definitely in my top 5 as well. A real great talent that was a joy to watch in a ring.
Hoping to see him in the HOF some day. RIP.
