I just retired from collecting figures with the release of L8 Eddie Guerrero, the last one I could have wanted. Now the only figures I want ever are strictly for parts for customs.
I haven't watched current wrestling since summer of 2019. I stay up to date on what's generally happening though, and none of it sounds any good.
In b4 certain users come in to say "well WWE's bank account disagrees with you" and defending WWE like they work for them.

Cool story bro.
Best of luck on your future endeavors.
I don’t watch AEW or impact or buy their figures really. Maybe I’ll make a thread giving out about that.

I don’t watch much main roster WWE in full either (especially not live. I’ll catch stuff after the fact on YouTube or the Network and the like). I do still watch NXT, but it’s gone downhill since the move to USA (I watch AEW every week as well, who while FAR from perfect do present a program I’m more interested in) That said, there are main roster figures I still pick up, but more because I’m a personal fan of the wrestler and want them represented in my collection (usually because of their work outside WWE) than anything they’re currently doing on TV. For example, from the four sets you listed I either have or want to pick up these current figures: Io, Woods, Big E, Bryan (for the short-haired head), Fish, O’Reilly, Bayley, Owens (maybe) Ricochet, Keith Lee, Balor (maybe), and Gronk (admittedly nothing to do with WWE, and everything to do with being a Pats fan). The maybes on Owens and Balor are because I’m pretty content with the figures I have in my collection now, but being a major tattoo mark in real life, I kind of want to update with their new ink since they’re two of my favorite wrestlers.

I've stopped watching their product nearly 12 years ago.
It's old school only for me as far as still watching it and collecting the figs.

I haven't watched in four years, so I feel ya. I've picked up a few figures here and there just because I like the look of them (most recently the viking dudes in Series 80), but otherwise it's just legends for me. I have no idea who half the figures are in Elite 84 but I'm OK with that. Current day WWE to me, is just... unwatchable. I try my best to get into it but I just can't. Can anyone else relate? My point here is... now, as the newer Elite sets roll out, I just have no interest.. Elite 77 I only got R-Truth, cause the dude is funny can't deny that lol. Total passes on 79, 80... 81 and 82 are looking the same. I'm still active on here and social media following the product, but damn man!

I haven't been able to watch since the early 00s with any consistency. Doesn't mean I don't absolutely love the 80s-early 00s. Where wrestling is concerned, I am absolutely content to live in the past. This is how I feel as well. Started watching in 1982 every week and by 2004 around WMXX I was done. I’ll check in every once in awhile, but it just isn’t for me. My kids watched it around 2010-2015 or so. That was fun to see them enjoy it. Even went to some shows. Now they are Freshman and have no use for it anymore. Like you I’m perfectly content to watch the old stuff.

I still watch the show but not super consistently. I keep up with YouTube and Instagram but I get this. There’s only a few people I care about really but I think my interest will grow as we leave the pandemic era especially.

I watch WWE, but I've noticed there aren't many figures I really really want for my collection. The Fiend who I got was really the only one and maybe Drew. I still haven't got Baron Corbin but it just doesn't bother me. Maybe it's just me but I feel like there's less key guys I need for a fed than say 4 years ago when I wanted everyone

I agree completely. I stopped watching wrestling sometime in the mid-late 00's. I only came back when Rock came back in 2011. At that point I only enjoyed watching CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, and Damien Sandow. Never got invested in anyone else. When Punk left in 2014 was the last time I watched wrestling, aside from the RAW reunion show I went to just to be in the arena when the glass breaks and see Stone Cold. I only know of anything modern day from this board and the figures I see get made, but have no interest in any of them. I only collect attitude era now.

For me, Wrestling died with the WWF name in 2001. WWE has been on a steady decline since it’s name change and I think I stopped watching around 2002/2003..

I'm in the same boat. I have kept my Network subscription, but at this point I only watch Takeovers and will put on the main roster PPV's but only really watch select matches. The production, camera cuts, 50/50 booking are too much for me. And since going to USA, NXT has really lost the magic for me that made me a huge fan from 2014-2016. Even wrestlers that I love, like Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens, have zero appeal to me in the last year or two. The start-stop booking makes it impossible to invest in any character.
Any my figure buying has gone down with it. I'm buying FTIL figures of folks I've enjoyed in NXT or the indies - War Raiders, Mia Yim, Heavy Machinery. But I'm buying far fewer figures than 2-3 years ago, even though Mattel on the whole is doing a great job design wise.
There is a lot of really good wrestling available these days, and more accessible than ever. With AEW, MLW, Impact, NWA, and NJPW all putting out enjoyable and fairly unique products, there's just no reason to watch WWE unless you truly enjoy their presentation.

I still enjoy a lot of the new talent, but the shows themselves are fairly unwatchable.
I've watched Dynamite almost every week it's been on though.

I buy 99% flashbacks. But I do collect one of every wrestler they make, then i'm usually done with modern wrestlers. The only Roman and Seth I even have is SHEILD.

Nope. I completely disagree. The stuff going on with The Fiend/Alexa vs. Orton has been outstanding. I also really like The Hurt Business. The build up for Drew vs. Sheamus has also been very good. The women’s wrestling on all 3 brands is vastly superior to anything on an other show or company. On Smackdown, I really think the storyline with Roman has been excellent. I’m really having a tough time how any of that can be considered unwatchable. WWE isn’t the only thing I watch, either. I watch NWA, Impact, NJPW and AEW. AEW, for me, has just been ok. I’m not going to say it’s bad, but I think the anti-WWE crowd has definitely overhyped it.

I reached this point when the WWE Network launched. The shows have been bad, but to me, my focus is the Championship Title Belts. Just like the shows themselves, it feels like there's no effort. As far as the collection goes, it's gone from hobby to habit at this point. I'm buying things I don't really want.

I think it comes with age. Priorities and interests change. Plus the scalping has made it to where aew is never sitting on my shelf.

Im the same way, WWE is incredibly boring to me now, because nothing is exciting or fresh. Ive been watching impact because of the goofy story lines that are fun. I havnt bought a figure at full price in years. If its not at 5 below i dont buy it.

I havnt bought a figure at full price in years. If its not at 5 below i dont buy it. I love that products like MLW and Impact tend to have a rotating cast, similar to the old territories. It can suck to see somebody you really enjoy move on, but it also keeps the product fresh. I think part of my lack of interest in WWE is that aside from the COVID cuts, you really haven't had many wrestlers leaving in the last 3-4 years, and NXT callups have slowed down a lot in the last few years. So the roster has been pretty stagnant, with guys shifting between brands.
