Elite 84 is a complete pass for this very reason, to me that is. I just can’t feign excitement or interest in the drivel WWE consistently provides each week. NXT is fine, no argument there from me.

There’s max like 8 current roster both main and NXT that I’d buy figures of.
And 8 is a real stretch.

A few months ago, I would have totally agreed with this, but honestly I feel like WWE is having one of its high points right now. Raw, not so much, but NXT and Smackdown have a lot going for them at the moment. And as absolutely weird as it feels to say this, Roman Reigns of all people has reignited my love of wrestling. I never cared for the guy at all during his singles face run, but ever since his heel turn, he’s doing some incredibly compelling stuff. Smackdown has been must see TV lately for me, for the first time since Eddie passed.

The last time I really enjoyed it was 2016 to 2017, I still kind of watch it for guys like Keith Lee, Rhea Ripley and Undisputed Era but it definitely isn't what it once was

I still run my figure fed and buy elites of my favorites. Even if the company is dog crap but I still love a lot of the wrestlers. But the entire WWE product has been awful imo. Even NXT is a bad state rn. They’re slowly turning into the main roster with dumb booking and repetitive faces. I only watch AEW these days and I absolutely love everything about it. Collecting is still super fun because I love a lot of the roster and want them in different attires but I couldn’t care less about actually watching the shows

Only person I really want from the set is Garza. I love his work and his look will probably look really cool in elite form especially with the tear away pants. I might pick up Sheamus, Roman and Murphy down the road but I’m not in a major rush to pick them up

I solely watch Jeff Hardy now. Since he’s on raw which is a dreadful 3 hours I just watch the highlights on YouTube.

I really only collect guys that were and are currently on NXT/NXT UK/205 Live (based on the attires meaning no full jump suit Nakamura or Diciple Murphy). I’m all caught up to E80 only so I still need E81 and up. Guys like Street Profits, Bianca Belair, Keith Lee, and Finn Balor are still figures that I need.

I am mostly bored with the current product and do not buy the current roster figures. Only flashbacks. Its a shame. I was a hardcore fan from the 80s as a kid through attitude, ruthless aggression, and even into the dreaded cena pg era. I used to watch every show and really care and chat about it with friends or have ppv watch parties. I just don't care anymore. I will occasionally put a show on but I will never watch the whole thing.
I really miss having a reason to care. Being emotionally invested in the characters. A well produced raw that sucked you in from the opening segment, felt compelling, genuine shocking surprises, and moments that dared you to miss it. You were glued to the screen.
Now. Meh. Many of the roster is talented. I think the shows are overproduction, overscripted. No real creativity with the exception of bray wyatt and a few little things. I'm older then I was during golden era and attitude obviously but it still makes me sad I feel such apathy to the current product.

One product doesn't kill my interest in the other. Even while the shows in the past month are inspiring 2010-2011 levels of apathy (when I almost gave up), my wants in recent and future lines seem to be increasing. Just ask my wallet.

I’ve been skipping most of the main roster figs since 2012 😆

un-watchable is a understatement. the figures arent bad, but shortcuts and part choices still plague it. ive bought alot less in the last year. ive even sold off some legends just because they look so outdated now. small heads, no FX, etc...

The major story line that keeps me interested in SmackDown is with Reigns/Uso. On Raw, it's The Fiend/Bliss and Hurt Business. It's hard to find much else to peak my interest. I'm satisfied with fast forwarding through the shows, YouTube highlights and reading reviews on Bleacher Report.

I haven't been able to watch since the early 00s with any consistency. Doesn't mean I don't absolutely love the 80s-early 00s. Where wrestling is concerned, I am absolutely content to live in the past. Seconded.
I love 80s and 90s WCW, ECW, and WWF, but just cannot get into today's product. I also have trouble supporting current WWE and its horrible labor practices, knowing what I know about the working environment and health issues wrestlers are prone to. (Yes, I know that I buy the figures so I support WWE, but I try to minimize my support.)

80% of my Mattel purchases are Flashbacks. Current roster guys I have bought this year?
Heavy Machinery The Fiend Viking Raiders
I think that's it. I will buy the Street Prophets( any new teams) & any new Demon Balor figs. I don't even recognise most of the guys in some of these waves...LOL.

i quit watching about 4 years ago. after a certain point it just wasn’t the same to me and the new characters just didn’t connect with me.
i’m still active because there’s some awesome people on here and i love keeping the elite line by numbers database updated

I haven't watched WWE consistently in over a year. Just maybe the odd ppv here or there if it sounds interesting. It's definitely helped me cut back on how many figures I've been buying. Last figures I even got were Survivor Series Joe and rookie Orton, and that anniversary Undertaker

Yeah I’ll watch some big PPVs but I’m completely unplugged from the weekly show. My fig buying is pretty much exclusively classic guys

I mainly just watch the PPVs now and they usually aren't good. I do still buy main roster elites to get 1 of each person made. I will double up if it is wrestlers I like (NXT mainly) or if they vastly change gimmick or look.

I only just recently started watching SmackDown again, mostly because my older brother and I really enjoy heel “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. It’s pretty decent, but I gave up on NXT a little while ago because of how dumb the booking is IMO, and RAW I gave up on a long time ago. That said, even if I’m not watching currently, I’ll still buy the figures of those I like. For example, Seth Rollins was on RAW for pretty much 4 years straight, and I gave up watching RAW in mid 2018. Yet, I still bought majority of the figures, because I’m a big Rollins fan.
To each their own, though. If you don’t wanna get anyone from the recent sets, that’s fine. I’m not the kind of person to force my views upon others. I think to compensate, Mattel should include at least 1-2 flashbacks per Elite set to appeal to all audiences. And they should do a rotation of different eras, so one set can have stars from the 80s, then the next series could have stars from the Attitude Era, then the Ruthless Aggression era, and so on and so forth.
