I was an Observer subscriber for about 2 1/2 years so it's not like I never purchased his newsletter and just read the free stuff. I stopped subscribing after reading him write that Bradshaw and Barry Windham were only a few months apart in age. I get wikipedia wasn't around then but how can you be so wrong? I was tired of three years of the rumors that never came about, like Barry coming in as Silverdust. Oh, I guess that was him making a joke? Well 12 year old me didn't get it. I wanted news, not jokes. I could get better news, plus pictures and cool interviews from New Wave Wrestling on the store. Even the Apter magazines were just as reliable as Dave and they were almost total kayfabe. Meltzer then,1990s, is what most "journalists" are now. They give their opinion mostly, very little facts or news. It is sad but it is what the times are asking for and Dave was well ahead of the times. As much as I know Bruce Prichard misremembers things and maybe does fib (I think moreso just doesn't remember) I love his tearing apart of Dave on Conrad's "what if" video about Rick Rude and Wrestlemania. It was spot on. As a former WON subscriber, a disgruntled one yes, it made me very happy to see someone bring to light what Dave is all about. Im still waiting for Mabel to be the 3rd man at BATB like Meltzer swore he was gonna be. Amazing I knew Meltzer was full of crapat 13 but apparently my "reading comprehension" isnt strong enough. Guess suckers will still believe anything they hear from dirt sheets.

Literally the Wednesday before BATB he also said "Mabel" but hey, keep the narrative you want.

Because names don't mean as much you think. Just because you're using your real name doesn't mean that people aren't watching you because the fame you earned under the WWE umbrella. How many people watching Austin Creed/Watson on YouTube started watching because he's Xavier Woods off of the telly? Probably a lot. Real name or not, his face and voice have been promoted on Vince TV. Fans know its him. If he used his real name, under a mask, and didn't mention wrestling? Sure, have at it. Then he wouldn't be cashing in on WWE fame. But he is. They all are. If they were truly independent contractors with fair contracts they'd be allowed to. But again, they aren't. From what I gather, Woods actually has a good show that could be entertaining without any wrestling connection, but I needed an example. YouTube/Twitch/etc is becoming part of the entertainment industry and a legit way for people to earn a living. Soon this would be no different that appearing on a sitcom or in a movie without expecting the office to take a cut. So did Jason Mamoa started a twitch channel and it took off, would George RR Martin or HBO be entitled to revenue since he made fans from Game of Thrones, or DC because he made fans from Aquaman? Maybe Kit Harrington. Who wasn't famous before and whose entire 'brand' is the persona. If he was doing a twitch channel while Game of Thrones was on, talking about Game of Thrones, selling ads and taking donations. If I was the show runner or studio I'd be pretty mad in that scenario, because I'd be worried about the guy bad-mouthing or spoiling the show, or might like to sell that as a Talking Dead style after-show. Now that the show has ended and his contract is over? No problem. Film and TV acting is different. All contracts are short terms and there are a million places to work. And maybe wrestling should work similarly, but there's really only one company (until recently) that can give you that exposure. The difference between starting with 1,000 followers and 100,000. And only Vince can/could get that many eyes on you. I hope this changes. I hope Vince is forced to choose between having employees (full control, but paying for benefits) and independent contractors (no benefits, but total freedom to explore outside opportunities). As of right now, that's not the world we live in. His lawyer's too good. Talent sign bad things.

It’s WWE’s most profitable year ever: they fire over 40% of the people who work for them and seize control of their independent contractors side income. Truly a remarkable year for VKM. Can’t wait to see how he’ll try to top it in 2021...

They officially shuttered some of the wrestlers twitch streams, etc today. Paige is still live but in the same boat getting shut down and is livid. Wasn't just if you used a WWE name, Paige switched to Saraya as did lots of others. Cesaro always steamed as Claudio and he's done.

Can't wait until the untill usual twist self into a pretzel. to defend their precious WWE. I think this was the final straw for me. I hung in for a long time because of how many guys and gals I liked that were in the company, but I can't keep supporting a megalomaniac when there's so much good wrestling out there.

They should give her some kind of sweet deal for a few years, pay her hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to do nothing but appear on a PPV pre-show occasionally. And then even when she's no longer under contract, they should pay for every rehab stint for the rest of her life.

Or the talent can band together and tell Vince he is going to far. He can't fire everyone.
