I live in a city of 8.5 million. You will never, ever get figures at the stores. I always order them. New York? Yeah. Actually it's 8.3 million. Still a lot. I live in Brooklyn which alone has 2.5 million ... and three Targets.

They have only released 1 Razor Ramon elite, this is the second one.
I agree about the breakdown, what is the logic behind making Valentine 1 per case and weasel suit Heenan 2 per case?? Valentine is a first time in the line figure and was a highly requested figure on here for years, I guess they think he might wind up clogging shelves a 2 per pase but I doubt that would happen because retailers don't seem to be ordering each set in the same quantity that they used to. The Heenan figure is the weak link in the set IMO- while the attire comes from a memorable moment, I don't think many casual collectors would be interested in a wrestling gear Bobby Heenan?!
Whether its poor distribution, head-scratching case assortments or the lineup placement of certain figures- Mattel just keeps making it more and more difficult to find these figures. The line seems to have transitioned from being a collectors paradise to a scalpers paradise, where the average fan/collector is no longer able to find these figures as easily as they used to a few years ago and I don't understand the reason for it?!

Well said. Instead of calling exclusives "Collector's Edition" they should call them "Scalpers Edition".

I went in at 8am, walked to the toy aisle, located an associate, gave him the DPCI, and he came back with the figures I requested. This happened in both stores I checked, but I left without Razor, because I’m waiting for the running change. Out of the 20 closest stores to me, the only unit which sold is the one I purchased. I’m sure that will change once they hit the shelves. I think having the boxes on hand and keeping them in the back until the street date hurt the stores. Now, the boxes are buried in the stock room. What’s the running change for Razor? The first run has the chains over the hair, as opposed to under.

Well I got lucky & found Razor at a Target that I normally don’t ever check due to being far from my house.

One of the Target’s near me that sold out immediately the other day (they put it out early) already got a restock shipment in. This bodes well for all of us as I think they’ll be restocking this plenty over the next few months.

Just wait until everyone who ordered multiple hammers to score a chase return them to the stores. Then it will be hammer time.

I will stop short of saying the case breakdowns for Legends Series 7 are inexcusable because I don't know the logistics of what goes into case packing and packaging size ETC.
That being said, keep in mind this wave originally supposed to have FOUR figures. So what were they going to do with the case breakdowns if we got Sting? So to have one Valentine per box is ridiculous. I just have no idea why they would allow this.
Just for example, why put the regular Greg Valentine at one per case?

My wife and I go to Target once a week and if I see them I’ll buy them but I’m done hunting. If Target/Mattel doesn’t want my $60 then that’s fine. I’m not paying scalper prices on EBay.

I went to 1 location and they told me it has a street date. I didn't bother to look at other nearby locations even though it shows 5 in stock. Shopping now feels like such a hassle, let alone fig hunting.

Im gonna be controversial here....Its just an OK wave. Other than Greg, this was a weak line up to relaunch the line with.

I think the main reason things are starting to go this way is because of online shopping. A typical person would rather order online and have their purchase delivered to their door without having to leave their home, get into a car and drive somewhere where they will be annoyed at other people and the chance of the product not even being there.
I, personally, would rather just get online myself and do what I stated above. Sure, it’s exciting to find them in stores, but if you’re in an area like me where there’s 8 Walmart’s and 5 targets around and haven’t had stock since November and they only new stock was the network spotlight one time, then you hardly ever get that feeling anyways.
As long as they continue to do preorders I’ll keep spending a little extra to not be mad about distribution and waste gas tracking down 4 figures in 100 mile radius

To be fair, Sting was originally supposed to be the anchor figure of the wave. Thats a very fair point, that was a big loss for the relaunch. I agree. The craziness could be warranted had Sting in an iconic look been in the wave. But this seems to be a little too much for a Greg Valentine, Bobby Heenan in a weasel suit, and a Razor Ramon repaint. The first 2 don’t interest me but if I see Razor maybe I’ll grab it. More of my era. But I have a feeling once this dies down they’ll be plentiful

The next wave is much stronger!

So my order said Heenan has been “preparing to ship” for about 24 hours. Razor and Hammer still on back order and kicked out to 8.10.
I went to a few Targets this weekend. Some have 5 in stock while some have 2 but in reality they have 0 because they cannot be found. It’s comical.
