I will stop short of saying the case breakdowns for Legends Series 7 are inexcusable because I don't know the logistics of what goes into case packing and packaging size ETC. That being said, keep in mind this wave originally supposed to have FOUR figures. So what were they going to do with the case breakdowns if we got Sting? So to have one Valentine per box is ridiculous. I just have no idea why they would allow this. Just for example, why put the regular Greg Valentine at one per case? Simple, to save money on the cloth goods robe and produce less figures to make more profit. It was done for a reason ... I mean I GET that they had to do something, but they could’ve used the budget for the Sting figure to include more Valentines ... but they simply chose not to. At least, that’s my opinion.

Also, Steve said that they never made it into production anyways.

They have only released 1 Razor Ramon elite, this is the second one.
I agree about the breakdown, what is the logic behind making Valentine 1 per case and weasel suit Heenan 2 per case?? Valentine is a first time in the line figure and was a highly requested figure on here for years, I guess they think he might wind up clogging shelves a 2 per pase but I doubt that would happen because retailers don't seem to be ordering each set in the same quantity that they used to. The Heenan figure is the weak link in the set IMO- while the attire comes from a memorable moment, I don't think many casual collectors would be interested in a wrestling gear Bobby Heenan?!
Whether its poor distribution, head-scratching case assortments or the lineup placement of certain figures- Mattel just keeps making it more and more difficult to find these figures. The line seems to have transitioned from being a collectors paradise to a scalpers paradise, where the average fan/collector is no longer able to find these figures as easily as they used to a few years ago and I don't understand the reason for it?!
This is actually the 3rd
You are correct, I forgot about the flashback figure. However, what I was referring to is that its the second Razor figure in wrestling gear, I think most would prefer Razor Ramon in wrestling attire not street clothes.

Im gonna be controversial here....Its just an OK wave. Other than Greg, this was a weak line up to relaunch the line with. I don't know. I think the line up was good but it was hurt by them not being able to release Sting. For a while people have been asking for both an early edition Crow Sting and a wrestling gear Razor Ramon, plus they added a FTITL figure with Greg Valentine. Overall I liked the choices. But that's just me.

The Warrior should have been in the wave!

Sting was a huge bummer, but with someone that actually cares about the Legends Line ... as opposed to Bill clearly not really giving a sh*t about it ... Steve has made solid choices for it.
I’m sure that Steve was just as bummed about not being able to have that 1996 Sting in the lineup, but it obviously hasn’t hurt the sales ... because people are hitting up Target left and right for them.
Also, both L7 & L8 pre-orders sold out very quickly.
So, in my opinion, as long as Steve is over this line ... I think that it’ll be a huge success for many years to come.

There’s gonna be plenty because some of the ones ordered online are going to be returned. The same will happen with every case figure unless they make two pre orders (which they won’t do)

Actually he has had 2 basics. (WM32 basic / Basic 97)
Also, as I mentioned in my previous reply, he has only had one wrestling gear elite- the legends figure will be his second wrestling gear elite.
Since we are on the topic, why did they choose blue- he had so many colourful attires (red, green gold), yet they chose one that looks similar to the first elite?! I know the first was purple but to my colourblind eyes they look similar.

Ah, yes I forgot about the other basic 👍🏻 I was really hoping for maybe like his powder blue or any bright color, but I’m sure we’ll get a few more Razor’s down the road. WrestleMania 11 was a decent attire choice, but I was hoping for a more standout color.

For me I guess having recently started funko collecting prepared me to be at target when they opened on Sunday and luckily the employee was able to find the case in the back. Bought one of each in the set, I really wanted the Valentine chase and scored exactly that. I’ll be checking in on Wednesday to see if I can get a regular hammer too. Would love to see the preordering system improved to meet supply and demand though.

I assumed that there would have been 3 Stings as the anchor, two Bobby, two Razor and one Valentine

I assumed that there would have been 3 Stings as the anchor, two Bobby, two Razor and one Valentine Original case has always been 5. 2 stings, 1 razor, 1 Bobby, and 1 valentine.

If series 7 was eight per case this line would DOA again from having to remove Sting. We’re lucky they chose 5 to a case

Having 5 a case isn't the issue. Its actually for the better, so we don't get stuck with titos for years to come.
The problem, will arise when stores don't get anymore cases in.
