I looked and didn’t see a thread similar to this (at least not within the few previous pages) and thought this would be a fun way to share knowledge and inspire conversation. I love reading and watching videos and find myself learning new stuff daily, and was curious what other people have come to learn and maybe they can teach others. Knowledge is power after all.
Some stuff I learned today:
- Bee attack pheromones smell like bananas.
- How to butcher an alligator/How alligators regulate their blood temperature
- Shaquille O’Neil picked his basketball number (33) to honor Patrick Ewing
- The Rosetta Stone was discovered by a French soldier in Napoleons campaign in Egypt. It displayed a message in three texts (Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics, Demotic, and Greek) and was key in helping translate hieroglyphics.

I figured this was the case but diving into it makes it hit home harder. Crazy stuff.

In Niall Horans "nice to meet you" video, he had the names of every song off of the album shown in the video at points. The album came out 2 months after the video, if I hadn't noticed the taxi in the video the other day it would have went straight over my head, but it was a cool Easter egg.

In the past week I have learned...
That in Star Trek TNG, the Soong brother's names literally mean "Fact" and "Fiction" (Data and Lore)
That they now make band-aids for different skin tones besides white
That "Judas" is an album AND a song
What Drake Maverick's voice sounds like (I usually watch everything with captions, sound off. It's a stimuli issue)
That Otis is of Serbian descent
That it is really stonking hard to make custom action figure glasses
That the OG WWE(F) Website was launched only a few months before I got into wrestling
That I can't eat sandwich crackers (I PTFO)
I'm sure there's a bunch more, but that's good for now. I'm learning new stuff every day!

That eBay UK has lot of exclusive cards but many sellers won't sell to the US and or the prices to ship are outrageous.
I'm annoyed..
