The gap between marketing from Hasbro or Funko and Mattel is like the Grand Canyon. And it's not just the WWE line. Add in things like Hasbro Pulse and HasLab, and it's honestly like Mattel isn't even trying to stay competitive. They're just doing their own thing, whether it works or not.I guess when you are number 1 you don't try as hard? It’s happened from time to time but we’re lucky it’s only been very rare occurrences. Jeff Hardy’s first figure is probably the most famous example. Sales have been great on Elites. Elites are currently the number 1 traditional action figure in the US. The line is on fire.I think it’s because there’s really something for everyone in the lineups. There’s something to be excited for in Elites or the Exclusive lines no matter what your personal tastes are. While solving inventory issues at individual stores may be a more difficult hurdle to overcome, the push is always happening to improve availability, peg space, etc for the line at retail in general. I don't know...I love when we Legends themed figures, but nothing compared to the excitement anymore when a new Marvel Legends wave or figures are revealed. And I LOVE Mattel...and I hope they have the license for years to come, because I'm not about starting again, but it's just...secondary anymore to the amazing things Hasbro does with the Marvel Legends. |

At least we finally have renders of the Viking Raiders. I thought for a second maybe they’d announce a Candice fig too but nope. i was hoping for Candice as well |

I do want the Viking Raiders and their renders look great. Was hoping they’d be about finished by now given they’ve been on the roster for some time, but looking forward to them regardless.
Agreed with the Sam Roberts comments. During the NXT pre-shows everyone tries to hype the show while Sam just tries to get himself over and try to get heat and attention every time he talks. Very distracting and annoying.
I don’t think they should’ve hyped this announcement up prior, as they were only going to let a lot of people down. It would’ve been a pleasant surprise to see this but with announcing it prior I’m a bit let down.

Excited for the Warbeard Hanson elite. They were great as War Raiders but definitely a step down as Viking Raiders not just cause of the name. I hope one day I can get him to sign as Warbeard Hanson.

Didn't the WWE/Mattel agreement get extended beyond 2021? Yeah. I'd be shocked if Mattel doesn't announce an extension at some point. They have a lot to lose, since WWE is by far their biggest licensed property after losing DC. Hasbro doesn't have a lot to gain, since they already have a very deep roster of licensed and in house properties in the same category. I'm happy with WWE's overall work with the line. But there are huge issues with character selection, distribution, and availability that need to be improved. |
