I would just ask everyone to please respect Mattel's wishes and not share the pic here anymore. Thank you all in advance. I'm sure that when the time is right we'll see what we were meant to see in terms of a proper reveal. The sooner, the better, because I'm still debating whether or not I want to pre-order. HHH as a finished product is what I'm waiting on. |

I think the Beast Mode things look a lot of fun, but I just cannot get excited about anything Mattel do as I know that as a guy living in the UK the chances of it being released here are like 25 percent! Yes I can pay more and order them online, but I do not want to! Say what you want about Jakks, but I never had this much trouble giving them my money when they had the WWE license.

I think the Beast Mode things look a lot of fun, but I just cannot get excited about anything Mattel do as I know that as a guy living in the UK the chances of it being released here are like 25 percent! Yes I can pay more and order them online, but I do not want to! Say what you want about Jakks, but I never had this much trouble giving them my money when they had the WWE license. I share your pain brother! I miss the good old days of going in to Woolies and seeing five or six shelves stocked with all the new figures. These days, I'm paying out for a U.S. shipping address just so I can get the figures. |

Lol I never said it was the second coming, I've been a fan of wwe since i was born, I am also a fan of aew and those guys as well. Its nice to flip channels when one gets really boring. As for the figures its absolutely COMPETITION bc its geared towards the same market. Yes are is a new born baby, but for collectors stand points and whatever look better right now. Purely esthetic, they look great better than most of what Mattel brought to the table. That's not saying I'm never buying wwe figures again. Who knows these figures might suck from aew that's why im only buying the omega figure and test it out. Not to mention are figure price point is much lower than ultimate elites and most regular elites so, if ur in the store (as a parent) your going to sway towards the cheaper toy unless ur kid is a brat and flips out in the store then but the little crap whatever to shut them up. But come on man your getting angry for because your not seeing the bigger picture, its NOT just about ricochets boots and kneepads, I mean it's only his 3rd elite I'm sure they'll get it right soon. But it's about the quality of figure, collecting wise you want the best looking figures u can get. Whether u keep it in the box, action pose it whatever little details matter or atleast to me. Its business aew is going after the same market mattel is in that's direct competition both aew and wwe are competing for our money. Regardless how long one has been around COMPETITION is COMPETITION. You are totally fine just buying wwe figures, or aew figure or how about this enjoying all the figures that are going to be in stores now so you dont have to stare at the same shelf warmers for months. I am excited for another company's figures to get involved. If AEW is smart they would make their figures about the same size so it pulls in both crowds. So I agree with your point No matter how good anything is someone will find something wrong. On tv or merchandise. I'm not getting angry on this I'm just discussing. It cant be a second coming of wwe if wwe never went out of business in the first place so whoever is saying that is just wrong. Your not like me, you dont know me or my view as a fan or a collector or as an actual professional wrestler. My mind set sees things differently. I want Mattel to not let little things slip through because since they came into business with wwe my collection of Mattel elites are double of what anything jakks wwe I've ever bought. All I'm saying is for them to tighten up a little Again, I'll say it one more time and then that's my last post on this topic. AEW figures are not competition for WWE figures. As much as AEW wants to turn everything into an "Us vs WWE" war. It's not. People should hope that both WWE and AEW's figures sell fine, because it's NOT a competition. You want a Cena? You buy an WWE figure. You don't have a choice. You want a Kenny Omega? You buy an AEW figure. You don't have a choice. Competition is standing in the isle and deciding if I'm going to buy Lays potato Chips or Utz potato chips. There can only be true competition if multiple companies are offering the same product, thus forcing a consumer to choose where to allocate their dollars. I don't think AEW figures and WWE figures will have any impact on one another's sales. You buy from whatever line has the characters you want, and there is ZERO character cross over, so you don't have to choose. It really could be a win/win situation. That's the way people should be looking at this. Jazwares AEW is competition for Mattel wwe, especially since its been confirmed the figures are in scale with elites. They are marketing to the same collector base, both going after the same collector dollars and competing for the limited shelf space in stores. Not everyone can buy all the WWE and AEW figures they want, some have to pick and choose. |

We'll get Beast Mode figures in Home Bargains late 2023. We'll also get Basic 107 Shinsuke and Elite 76 Cena & Braun. Everything else? Not a chance. |

Pretty good showing from Mattel. Not much I plan on picking up as I’ve gotten more strict with my collection. I know they’ll be a ton more showings and surprises coming up.

I’m sure it was said a million times..but the spinning belt with cena is well worth that figure. Looks like it maybe diecast too Unfortunately for those who wanted it AFA said that he does not think the belt actually spins. |

"Competition" is relatively broad term with various levels. At its largest, everything is in competition with everything, for either your time or money. Therefore it could be said that milk is in competition with Mattel, as both are vying for your money. But if you drop down a few classes, the competition gets even closer: Discretionary Products > Toys/Collectibles > Wrestling Figures > Brand (WWE, AEW, etc.). I'm not sure how much closer they could be except for another producer of WWE action figures, like SH Figuarts. The truth is most of us do not have a separate budget for WWE Mattel figures, apart from everything else. So yes, I'd say they're competition on many levels.

So, i will stop collecting Target or Walmart Exclusive. Because I will no longer buy These Figures For Horror Prices at eBay.

While the new product may or may not change some individual's buying habits, there is zero chance that this isn't going to directly impact Mattel. At the very least, Walmart will be carrying the AEW line. Shelf space is a zero-sum game, and there is a good chance AEW's plaogram space will reduce WWE's existing footprint. The figures are nearly identical in size, style, and price point. Mattel had a monopoly in the wrestling figure market for essentially their entire run. Competition doesn't mean AEW is going to overtake Mattel in sales or cause the line to shut down. Competition means another option on the shelf when grandma is shopping for little Johnny's birthday present, decreased retail space, or lowered product orders. Even if Mattel sees a single digit dip in sales, we're talking about millions of dollars in revenue. That's nothing to sneeze at, even for two Fortune 500 companies. |
