I can't wait for the announcement on Series 3, has to be soon, eh?.......................................................... The Fwoosh uploaded an interview they did with Brain Flynn, if there's no mention of NJPW them I think it's safe to assume the line is dead. No mention of njpw but then again they didnt mention GI Joe either.

Maybe this thread shouldn’t be stickied anymore. Unpin it, mods!

It's too bad that CJ guy from Super7 (and from page 1 of this original post) has not been seen on this post for a LONG time to include us in any updates for the future of this line.

Guessing we’ll never get a Kota Ibushi figure.

I'd say the line is dead. This was a great concept with a lot of hard work. The soft goods were the highlights. Everything else was very poorly executed.

Series 1 was absolutely incredible. I didn't like series 2 as much, and I think the execution there WAS a little off. (For example, EVIL's robe bleeding all over him.) I'd say it's failure has to do with the infrequency and the wait between lines. It just never caught momentum.

Probably for the best anyway. With the second Matt Cardona and Brian Myers being priced at $97 Canadian while including far less accessories, I wouldn't be able to justify getting them if that's the price point they're going to be going with on their wrestling figures

It sounds like the line is dead. Yoko that works for super7 said in a live yesterday that she had no news about NJPW ultimates in the future but did say that if the decision is made to not continue the line it isn't in Super7 s end. So basically NJPW is deciding not to continue the line.

Maybe Jazwares have worked out a deal with NJPW to release NJPW action figures either as a seperate line or as part of the AEW toyline.

@1:08:56 it's confirmed that the NJPW line is done. They're looking to turn what would have been Wave 3 into independent releases of the wrestlers. "3 out of 4 seem very receptive"

Sucks, but i think we all knew it. I have them all. It was a bit of a train wreck for sure.

The rumoured lineup was Jay White, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Hirooki Goto, right? I’d imagine Goto would be the one that they wouldn’t be able to do.

Goto is probably the hold out. The other 3 are easier to getsigned and have figures thru other companies. Hopefully something good comes of this. The line had many hiccups along the way but to have 8 New Japan figures is better than nothing.

The only drawback I can see is you likely wont get the belts (guessing White would have had US title) but having them released is better than not of course.
