Every time I see this thread updated, I come in hoping it’s an announcement of Series 3 figures. I’m still holding out hope!

I feel dumb.. I was confused why I couldn't make an account. Turns out I made an account some time ago. So, I signed in and got them. Thank you! I am hoping we hear about Series 3 too.

I've just opened and posed my NJPW series 2 figures and just like series 1, I love them. There's just something special and unique about these figures.
I also think it's a real shame that a vocal group of people who have never even held the figures spent so much time destroying them online.
I know they're not perfect and the delays/communication haven't helped but the backlash these figures have received is ridiculous.
These figures are super limited, something different and to me - worth every penny.
If you own them and don't like them, I totally get it. But this series wasn't killed by the people who own the figures, but by the vocal trolls who haven't even seen them in person.
Ah well... That's 2021 for you. I'll continue to love mine and display them proudly!

People have been way too hard on these figures. I really hope this line continues long into the future.

For how much they cost and how long it takes to get them it’s well justified It's one thing to offer criticism, as we all have, but it's another to just hate on figures that you haven't even bought, which as someone pointed out, seems to be what much of the online comments are. To me, the major issues with this line are the time it took to get them out (which is mostly out of Super7's hands), the skin tone (which was corrected with series 2), and the scale. But still, the good far outweighs the bad to me.

Really no need for smart ass comments...The point was many of the negative comments online seem to be from people who haven't had these figures in hand, and perhaps aren't able to judge them fairly, or haven't invested money in the line, so shouldn't really be complaining about how long they've taken to be produced.

$45 is a steep price to pay for something I’m unsure I will like, so no I’m not going to be judging them in hand

The point I was making earlier is that these figures have been unfairly attacked by people who don't own them.
There's a huge difference between deciding not to buy something and trashing something online that you've never held/seen/posed in person.
Those initial Ringside picks were a real killer and not a true reflection of the figures at all.
I have them posed on my shelf and they look incredible. Can someone explain how I post images in here? I'd love to share my setup.

They are not perfect figures, but they are good. I’d rather have good NJPW figures then no njpw figures. I really hope this line continues

The figures are great. For those that don't have them for whatever reason ... it's their loss. Simple as that.

The negativity started with the lack of communication, followed by the delays, then came the bad pictures, and finally some of the disappointment with the in-hand product. Not everyone was let down with them. A lot of people love them. Personally, I’m in the middle. Aspects of them should have been improved upon before they were released but the delay was already significant. At the end of the day…we can all just like what we like. I really hope to hear who they want for a third series but it is concerning that there hasn’t been a word yet.

My biggest issue is the price point. If they make a 3rd series, depending on who is in the line, I'd probably end up buying one or all because at the end of the day, this is our only chance to get official NJPW figures. If this line fails, it may take many years before someone partners with NJPW to make figures.
(I've read that NJPW has been difficult/slow to get these manufactured during this lines development, so I don't blame Super7 100%. If anyone knows anything about this line's development process I'd love to know more.)
I preordered the 1st set as soon as I could, I was disappointed in what I received. I didn't preorder the 2nd set. Instead I waited until I saw photos/reviews from people that bought them. They aren't bad, but I didn't like the 2nd set enough to buy them at their initial price. I recently ended up buying Hiromu and Evil off RSC because they were discounted. (I would have also bought Nito and Bushi if they were available at the same price, but they were sold out on RSC.)
The cloth accessories are pretty good. Overall it's not a terrible product and if you're on the fence, I'd suggest you pull the trigger and buy them while you can. But, I understand why many wrestling figure collectors have been disappointed by this line.
Unfortunately, at the end of the day I feel like we are all in a, "It's this or nothing" situation. I think its better to own a figure that you like, (but feel like could it could have been made better) than to not have a figure of that wrestler at all.
But instead of speculating on a possible series 3 and which wrestlers are in it, I'm more interested in the upcoming Minoru Suzuki figure from Storm Collectibles. I bought the original and the Black & Gold Jushin Thunder Liger figures and I like them enough that I'll probably preorder Suzuki as soon as it goes up. Sight unseen. There is a demand for NJPW figures, it's just interesting who gets to make who and how they'll end up.

I still love the Tanahashi. When I was taking inventory of all my 2021 figures for a top 10 list, he made it relatively easily. That’s not to say it’s perfect, very few figures are. But still very good.

My series two figures will be delivered tomorrow. I can’t wait to get them!
I’m still holding out hope for series three. I would love figures of so many more members of the NJPW roster.
