For anyone who's curious like me, I talked to Ben from RSC customer service and was told they really had no word on if there will be a back-order on series 1 either. I would like to have Ishii but at this point I'm kind of just cutting my losses. I'm not gonna pay scalper prices for a $45 figure. Hate to see what those would be. By the time these finally come out, if anyone decides to part with them they're going to go for at least $500 each. "I waited six years for this figure and you'll get it in three to five days, you'll pay that much and you'll like it!" I pre-ordered this whole series and the Penta/Fenix figures from Boss so it's basically like this race for me to see which ones I get first, though at this rate I'm guessing the Lucha Libre figures. I just want to have figures by five different companies in my collection and right now I have three.

Well...Boss F8ght has been transparent about what's happening and we know those are probably hitting in late November.

Per Brian Flynn on IG, he's just waiting on an approval to send out the update for series 1.

Finally cancelled my order. Lost complete interest in these after a full year and still 2 years to go until they're out it seems...

Well there's no real evidence he had any involvement with the line so it's probably not that, plus Flynn said he was waiting on approval, you typically don't need approval from the other party to announce a cancelation if that's what's happening.

Super 7 has been very off with their updates, in the email I got for the Thundercats Wave 2 is coming in right after wave 1, now delayed until Feb. It seems as if their switching factories on the production of the figures as well. Most people wouldn't have been to upset if they were up front, They said the pandemic moved everything back to Late Summer, then October. All companies say it takes about a year from start to finish on production, they shot themselves with estimated dates that have yet to be hit on any of their lines. toynewsi.com/345-37347

It reads like that was the only line they weren't doing at their own factory.

I'd assume it wouldn't be the case, but given the way the international expansion has happened, it was something I figured may not be 100% out of the realm of possibility (maybe 95%).

I can pretty much guarantee you if the line got canceled, that Harold's departure wouldn't make the list of reasons why.

Not that wrestling always stays in the line of logic, but logically New Japan only has something to lose if the line gets cancelled. Money versus no money.

Yep, I don't think they're going to let this line go especially in a year where they took a huge hit in terms of live gate money and merch money.

Really wanted Tanahashi, Okada, Naito, & EVIL but this is getting ridiculous and my interest in these is waning a lot.

I now officially regret ordering these figures. But I can't cancel and get a refund, because I ordered straight off the Super 7 site. If we ever do get these figures I'm putting them up on Ebay. I'm for sure not ordering series 3, even if Kota Ibushi or Kenta are in it. I can't get mad at Super 7 because I know the current atmosphere in the world is crazy, but it's a little unprofessional not to give your customers any kind of update or opportunity to cancel and get a refund. I'm sorry but I had to get that off my chest.

Super7 are notorious for missing shipping windows and on top of that, New Japan is dragging their feet on approvals.

For a country that’s so nerd friendly, I’m SHOCKED that New Japan is so behind on the capitalization of the toy market. They should’ve signed a deal with a more affordable company YEARS AGO, ideally one that hit their target dates and one they would give approvals to within a good enough time frame to release product.

Rumor was they had a deal with Figuarts really close to being done in 2017. I like the way these figures look and I guess I'll be happy when they show up but Super7 treating this line like the bastard child and not providing nearly as many updates as they do for every other license has made me not want to buy anything they make after this. I really don't care if we get Ibushi, KENTA or Shibata anymore.

I've ordered stuff from other Super 7 lines, got hardly any emails about this and the Ninja Turtles. All Brian seems to care about is Thundercats a lot, claimed that wave 2 was coming in hot on the heels of wave 1 now its been delayed but wave 3 is coming in right after that. For figures that are 45.00 plus shipping having nearly 400.00 of peoples money on New Japan figures with no sort of updates, is a disgrace. We knock on Mattel for certain missing features but they treat the license and the fans with more respect than Super 7 has. Can't blame the pandemic as much anymore in the beginning until they up and running I'll give them. How many waves of WWE figures have come in after the shutdown from Mattel. 5 Elite waves, a bunch of basic assts, some ultimate editions, and RSC exclusives nearly 50 figures if not more yet they can get a few waves of 4 figures out.
