still, it'd be about 2.5 million short.
Even the previous trade scenario I mentioned comes up a couple hundred thousand dollars short (minus the draft pick).
And I think Minnesota would only go for the deal if Jefferson was included.

Never underestimate the stupidity of Kevin McHale, Joe Smith's illegal under the table contract cost them draft picks...like 4 of em

Now to respond to the kid who just causes problems:
A lot of NBA Superstars have never 'won' anything...Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Kevin Garnett just to name a few, the fact that havent won anything does not mean they are now losers and 6th men, and here let me compare:
Now obviously Pierce has more games in this league and is a totally different player than Ben Gordon, but for the sake of argument here, we go
Career averages for Paul Pierce:
38 Minutes a game 44% FG 80% FT 36% 3PT 7 Rbds 4 Assists 24 points a game
And you take out his rookie year and last year he averages 80 games a year
Ben Gordon 43% FG 41.8 3PT 81 FT 2.8 RB 2.9 Assists 18 Points
Yah, they are defintley the same.
Go back to the baseball thread and at least make fun of me

Although, you have to give Gordon credit, he has an identical fg%, better 3pt%, better ft%, fewer to's, and only 4 ppg fewer than Pierce did in his third season in the league (and in 5 fewer minutes per game). Yet, there's so many things to factor in here and there that individual statistics don't really mean that much.

Boston's GM for the last ten years, Chris Wallace, was announced today to be replacing the Logo as GM in Memphis starting on July 1st.
Funny how the worst record team in the league for the 06-07 season hires the GM of the second worst record team in the league for the 06-07 season, hoping for "continued success and growth."
lol only in the nba

I like Gordon, I like him a lot, but hes not a #1 guy, a top 15 NBA player like Paul Pierce. Saying they are essentially the same is embarrassing for your basketball knowledge. Gordon has been lucky to be on some good teams, Pierce has only had 1 really good team, and 1 really good teammate in Antoine Walker.
The point is moot because the kid was just being a dick and trying to cause problems

Wallace is a good GM, he made some boneheaded moves (Vin Baker, 2001 draft) but he will be solid for the Grizzles, hes great with the European scouting

Pierce and Walker were a nasty combination for a while, too bad it didn't last while both were still young and healthy.

Blame Danny Ainge for that and about 50% of the Celtics problems on him.
Rick Pitino 25% and Chris Wallace 25% the rest

I'm also pretty high on Marc Iavaroni, Memphis's new coach coming out of Phoenix.
He seems like he'll have a great deal of success with the team, especially the younger guys like Warrick and Gay.
No doubt, Memphis will be pulling in 30-35 wins next season.

Throwing random ideas out there,
I think it's about time Sacramento blows their roster up, what with a new coach to be named soon and trade pieces like Artest and Bibby to shop around.

Memphis was fine, they just got off to a bad start and Gasol was hurt. They had a decent team, they were kinda like the Spurs in 97, but they wont get Oden.
Gay/Warrick/Gasol/Lowry/#4 pick are a talented bunch
Bibby is going to Cleveland or hes staying in Sacto

Other than recent rumors that Atlanta was interested,
it appears that Memphis should get Al Horford at #4,
obviously, if Atlanta doesn't take him, which I don't think they will.

Go back to the baseball thread and at least make fun of me Then why can't the Celtics find anything to trade Pierce for and how come they can win a damn game? Why has Pierce been invisible in terms of trade talks, except the ones pointed out by you. How is the Shawn Marion deal to Boston coming along? Shawn Marion to Boston boasting and you've got the nerve to call me out and say I am baiting you. This coming from the kid who called out my sister for a discussion over sports? Pierce is on his way down for his career. Ben Gordon is still valueable in a trade because he is a hell of a lot younger. When Pierce was hitting his prime in the Eastern Finals wasn't Gordon like 16 years old? Furthermore, why are the Bulls in talks with Kobe Bryant in a trade. That post wasn't to bait you, get over yourself... jesus man. I was stating my opinion about Paul Pierce. He hasn't won a damn thing. Even the Knicks (with Ewing injured) have gotten farther than him in the playoffs since he's been in the league. True story. You can resort to insults at the end of your highly researched, internet masterbation and obsession at proving me wrong for a comment about Paul Pierce in order to get yourself over with your own reality if you please. Whatever works for you. Defending Paul Pierce makes you more of a man than I am I guess in your mind. I mean what the hell? When I turn on the TV, at least in the last year, nobody is talking about Paul Pierce or any value that he has. Defend Pierce all you want because you have a soft spot for him being in Boston but he hasn't done a damn thing in his career that is worthy of trading similar aged talent for. Sometimes I wonder if you are pretending sometimes, it's like you are not talking to real people so what you say goes always or they are "the dumbest person to ever exist." lol come talk to me in another thread lol

Oh and once again Ralpho. I never once said Paul Pierce and Ben Gordon were the same kinds of player or anything in caliber of individuals.... way to run with your own reality.
I said they had equal trade value at this point. Pierce isn't gonna go to LA and sell crapor win shit.

Heres your answer
BECAUSE THE CELTICS ARE NOT TRYING TO DEAL PAUL PIERCE
Maybe thats why the Celtics cant get anything for him?
Maybe you should understand what you are talking about before you make stupid comments
The baiting comment comes from this, you come out of NO WHERE to make a stupid comment about Paul Pierce, one you had NO IDEA about and obviously you are wrong.
The discussion was about Jeff Green and or Kirk Hinrich and you come in and post that, you dont post that if I am not in here

I guess if we take Horford and if maybe Green is there at 11, I would be pretty pleased with the Hawks draft. But, we would need to get rid of one of the Williams, Smith, or Childress. Too many similar bodies clogging up the roster. But we HAVE to get a point guard.

Just take Conley at 3, hes a need, so what if its a bit of a reach. You have guys like Horford and even Green to an extent. Take Conley, then see whos there at 11 (Thornton, Yi, Green etc)
