Hughes in AAA. 6.2 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 4 K, 91 pitches, 51 strikes. Should be back the next time the Yankees need a 5th starter. Looks like they've turned Ross Ohlendorf into a reliever now too. Doesnt matter, he sucks balls either way. Edwar Ramirez continues to own the world in the minors. 85 K's in 46 IP. Too bad Torre used him once every 3 weeks. He didnt get a far chance in the majors. maybe because he's edwar ramirez, has one above-average pitch (a changeup for christ's sake), and is like 27 year's old and never been heard of until this year? aka he ing sucks, and is overhyped like every other mediocre minor league yankees reliever who is the apparent "heir" to rivera for about 2 days before getting bombed and demoted to aaa never to be heard of more than once or twice again? russ ohlendorf, terrible year in the yankees system & injuries or not, has a much, much, much better chance at having a major league career than edwar ramirez... but 90% of the people here will tell you otherwise...

Don't know if it was posted, but Jobba Chamberlain was scratched from his minor league start on Monday and will instead throw one inning out of the bullpen, and will also throw again out of the bullpen on Wednesday.
Basically, it looks like the Yankees are likely getting him used to being a reliever in the minors before bringing him to the majors at some point this year. He can't be much worse than what we have right now, but I just hope it's not a mistake rushing him from Double-A to Triple-A to the majors all in only his second year.

According to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, the Red Sox would've had to surrender reliever Hideki Okajima in order to get Dye. Whether Okajima would've ended up with the White Sox or the third club is unknown, but Chicago makes the most sense. Okajima has been absurdly good this year - he's allowed five earned runs in 51.2 innings. The unexpected huge success of he and Takashi Saito should cause MLB teams to sign every Japanese reliever with a functional arm this winter. Of course, the Red Sox refused to give up Okajima to get Dye. Meanwhile, Buster Olney reported that the third team was the Brewers. RotoWorld speculated that the Red Sox may have been trying to get Derrick Turnbow from Milwaukee. The White Sox might've been eyeing Turnbow as well. Kenny Williams is also known to like Manny Parra. -mlbtraderumors.com i hope theo, when okajima's name was brought up, replied with a polite " you "

When Erik Bedard isn't ripping down a handful of K's, he's buffing up his already-ripped abdominals. Bedard 4 Man of the Year.

We go to games all the times. I'll be at the Giants/Dodgers game Tuesday. Hopefully Bonds trips on the steps and breaks something(and not the record). ;

Vest jerseys are gay, and only gay fruit cake teams like the Rockies, Pirates, and last year's Reds wear them. In summation: gay.
