Anything else on the chopping board recently? Good morning! Yes, actually. Some are Retro, some are Hasbro. I've been doing both for variety. Mattel has the head swaps to make easy customs, but they really need to up their game on body styles and sizes. I have a few guys that are only waiting on attire or arm tattoo decals..even minor skin match touch-ups like Vader, and Shawn Michaels With Shawn, I also have to go back and fix the silver on his boots. The paint came off when I was applying the gloss sealant unfortunately. But both of these guys are near done. Then I could reenact HBK kicking Vader and telling him to "Get his fat a** up!" Lol

And here's one I'm just starting, using a beat up old Virgil. A Hasbro Rocky Balboa. I used a small wood rod to firmly attach his head to Virgil's shaved down neck. Then I applied glue and clay, let dry and I'm now standing to form the neck to the right size. I'm also using a Dremmel to shave down the bottom of the boots, to mimmick Stallone's short height compared to the other wrestlers.

I have to smooth out the paint job on Hogan here and there, and use a good sealant, but we're almost there.

love the customs mate! do you sand em off first and use primer? Usually, yeah. I go really fine on the sand paper and do my best to not leave an even surface before applying primer, because everything after a bad sanding will show. At the end, I give the paint job an entire week to dry before applying a semi gloss lacquer finish to protect the paint and give the figure a nice, legit look. I haven't done it to the Hulk yet. Im trying to figure out the best way to smooth out his bandana. Looks too rough and its driving me nuts.

"Customs Prototype Avenue" in my collectors cabinet. Lined up next is purple variant 123 Kid, Bastion Booger, blue shirt Akeem, prototype Shawn Michaels, and a fully functional Goldberg.

I just recently started doing some customs of my own. I got back into collecting Hasbros because of the Mattel retro line. I was inspired to take a stab at customs because I desperately wanted to add a CM Punk to my collection.
