Cool to see people customizing with these already. I'd actually be curious to see Hasbro and Mattel parts mixed, wonder if they're compatible?
If your doing attitude era, you'd have tons of options from the Hasbro line. ex. Yokozuna would make a great body for Rikishi.

Not sure but I could try next time I use a Lesnar. Now, I've used Mattel heads on Hasbro bodies before, but unfortunately that isn't so cut and dry. The connections are completely different obviously, and I use a Dremel tool, clay, flesh paint and glue. Just popping heads on and off these Mattels have been a dream in comparison lol. I've seen Rikishi customs on Google using the Yoko body actually. Looks so-so...but more so ehh because of the person's ability to make it.

It’s great to see stuff like this at long last. Great work. Looking forward to seeing more. Are there any hasbro era guys who didn’t get a figure but that Mattel have released as a basic/elite? (I don’t really follow those lines). Basically are there heads we can use!?

Here's Phase 1 of my Jeff Jarrett Retro. I'm going to do Hasbro Series 12 Orange Card proud! Gonna make the hair bleach blond and give him the white boots and pink/purple attire. Is this the TNA Legends Double J headsculpt? It looks good, but a little big, isn't it? I believe there is some kind of Toy Biz head out there that might fit a little better in size. Sorry, no offense. Keep it comming!

Here is a good comparison-shot that I have found on google. There have been a few different ones from WCW aswell as TNA. I remember that TNA was fantastic. However it is from a different timeline. You really need to check as not all heads have a beard. Adding hair from another figure shouldnt be too hard. Also that Jakks BC is a nice headsculpt (one if the better ones from the BC era). Especially with hat and shades on, it looke really not too bad. I really envy you guys for being able to simply walk into a shop and buy a Retro figure for under 10$. Overhere the average price is 15-20€ and you have to order them online.

Thing is, you could also use Jakks. They use the same peg. You'll need a small piece of paper in there with it those so the heads turn nicely. I've done a couple.

Ah well that’s a good few to get started! I guess Orndorff could use Rock or Austin body. No body for Vader yet though - hopefully he’ll be in a future lineup. I didn’t realise Jakks heads could work...I gotta Haku, Bad News & Harley Race somewhere that I bought with the intention of making hasbros. Maybe it’ll be easier with these! Just deciding what parts would work best.

Just deciding what parts would work best. Well, with Haku..I'd say the only option is The Rock. His skin tone is a match. You'd want to remove the elbow pads, and I usually go with a mild solution like Goo-Gone. I give a couple squirts to the target area then carefully use an exacto knife to take off the paint. I've done this with near flawless results. But it's tedious. Goof off or nail polish is far too harsh on this plastic. Only dilemma you'll bump into, and I've thought of it myself because I have a Haku head sitting here, is how to I do the bare feet? Haven't figured that out yet. I don't want it to look bad either. But in the meanwhile, use an Austin or Triple H for Harley. Let the look or skin tone match guide your choice on that one. I'm buying a Jakks Barbarian and putting the head on a Rock. Then I'm using a 3mm white painted skull and gluing it to the front of the trunks and doing the whole brown outfit with some detail. Going to Jo-Ann Fabrics for some brown fleece fabric to pit around the calves on his legs too. I've just been so busy lately. I still have to het to work on that Jarrett. I wanna make it into that 1994 Hasbro Proto. Let me know how yours are coming along.

My problem is I think about customising a lot but never get round to starting! Hopefully I’ll change that... Yeah the feet is a sticking point, maybe have to wait until they release someone with bare feet - not sure who that might be though. I don’t know if some hasbro feetvcoukd be molded on?... Yeah maybe I’ll give Harley a go with Austin’s body. Look forward to seeing your Barbarian, and any others you have planned.

I know, right now Haku would be best suited being used with a Hasbro Sami, but then you have the head dilemma. Yeah, I have a few 1998-2000 era Mattels sitting here and these are the ideas that I have with the ones I have: - (Jakks) Val Venus (Austin body) - (Jakks) Steve Blackman (Cena top/Ambrose pants) - (Mattel E&C) Edge (Warrior body) - (Mattel E&C) Christian (Triple H body) - (Mattel younger DX version) Billy Gunn (Warrior body) - (Mattel 2pk w/HHH) Road Dogg (Triple H body) - (Mattel) Steven/William Regal (Austin body) ...and of course, the Jarrett. I should find more time after the holidays though. I have a big pile of figures sitting on my night stand. My daughter makes fun of me haha Oh, and I'm also in the middle of a Goldust using an Austin body. Coming out really well. Tedious with trying to be precise with the important line work on the attire.

I've got multiple projects started. Here's the first stage of doing Hasbro justice for the Barbarian...

I want to get a fleece fabric and some string to use for his boots. I removed the elbow pads and used rubber band pieces super glued and painted for wrist bands. I also have to allow the paint to completely dry before I did my painted edges with my exacto knife to make it cleaner.
