PWinsider.com is reporting that former Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Adam Cole has signed with WWE and will be featured on the NXT brand.
He is slated to begin training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida this week. Cole finished up with ROH earlier this year and had been expected to sign with the sports entertainment company since then.

I can't believe they signed a dead man.
New Undertaker incoming?

He has to head to the performance center for training lol? Did Randy Savage need any of that Titan training when he showed up in 85?
Oh wait, you just went out did your deal. Let these guys sink or swim. I get that there are nuanced to working on WWE TV to be specific, ya gotta know where the cameras are in relation to your ring work, but that takes specific training?
Vince McMahon has his company so over produced it plays like a damn episodic TV series, without the great character archs of course.

This is a pretty massive NXT spoiler dude. Especially with what Meltzer said last week.

So much for being excited this Saturday at NXT Takeover when they show him in front row before the Roode vs. Drew NXT Title match. Now we can pretty much guarantee he will be there for us to see.

He's been signed since May/June.

Not in terms of raw talent level, but Adam Cole is as polished a pro as anybody coming into the WWF/E. He's a damn solid hand with pretty good charisma. Pick an equivalent worker from the past who had worked in other major companies, Did he go to a performance center?

Adam Cole is in no way a star like AJ Styles, so I see why Nxt is the place to start.
Bobby Roode & Drew McIntyre wouldn't need Nxt either but they chose to.

CWA was pretty much WWF's unofficial farm league in the 80s. That is where Savage worked before being signed to the big leagues. Big Show was a multi-time WCW champion and was sent to OVW. CM Punk was a huge indie star and was sent to OVW first. Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Bobby Roode, Eric Young, and Neville all went to NXT despite their resume. Drew McIntyre was in the WWE, left and made a bigger name for himself, and still had to go to NXT. Most of WCW's roster after WWE bought them went to either OVW or HWA.

I read this as him going to their performance center for training, that is a slap in the face I'm sorry. Well, the WWE ring is bigger than most rings used by others. Guys like Fergal Devitt and Kevin Steen also went through the same thing. They aren't teaching him how to wrestle, more just getting him accustomed to the style.

Casual fans aren't going to know anything about ROH.
