Yeah I agree. It's stupid that Rain and Ermac are using that body mold when they weren't introduced until UMK3 with a totally different ninja sprite. I thought that too. I'll still get Smoke cause he had the MKII look but Ermac and Rain i'll pass on. Smoke is a definite. My Shao Kahn preorder can't come soon enough.

Bit late sharing this thought but I was SO relieved to see Goro again at toyfair. We hadn't seen it in so long I was getting concerned it had been cancelled or something.

I just hope they focus on making all the CLASSIC (i.e. MK1,MK2,MK3,UMK3,MKT and i guess maybe MK4) characters first. I do not want to see them getting distracted and making characters or costumes from the later games... and the line ending up being cancelled before half the classic characters are made. We've had enough modern MK figures already, this is the first time we've ever got decent quality classic figures and getting ALL the classics done needs to remain the goal and the priority.

I know that's priority for a lot of people, but I'd take all the sub zero, scorpion, kitana and mileena I can get and everything else can come or not.

Still waiting on my Shao Kahn. It was supposed to be released in January, but it keeps on getting delayed every month.

Still waiting on my Shao Kahn. It was supposed to be released in January, but it keeps on getting delayed every month. Keep an eye on Storm Collectibles facebook page, they usually post a MIB photo of a figure a few weeks before it actually drops. Don't think they've posted a Shao Kahn MIB pic yet (though I may be wrong) so I wouldn't expect it for at least a few more weeks. It'll be worth the wait though. I'm impatient to get all the classic MK characters in figure form too but I'd rather they take their time and do it right TBH.

Shao Kahn has already been released in Japan. He should be released in the U.S. very soon and I can't wait!

More awesome classic MK figures on the way from Storm Collectibles: Goro news.toyark.com/2018/06/28/storm-collectibles-mortal-kombat-goro-1-12-scale-figure-304215Ermac news.toyark.com/2018/06/25/storm-collectibles-fully-reveals-the-sdcc-2018-exclusive-mortal-kombat-ermac-figure-303503Can't wait for SDCC, I would presume we'll see painted prototypes of Baraka, Cyrax, Kitana, and Liu Kang. And hopefully lots more new characters too now Storm is expanding their business and getting the MK ninja figure profits under their belt. Motaro and Sheeva are my current most wanted, though I welcome any characters from the original trilogy (MK1,MK2,MK3,UMK3,MKT) since ideally I want every single character, including background characters (e.g. Masked Guard, Shadow Priest) and rumor characters (e.g Nimbus Terrafaux, Aqua).

Rain and Smoke are getting released at NYCC. These should be the last of the ninja variants.
They shouldn't be hard to get considering bluefin still had Noob Saibots at SDCC from last year.

Rain and Smoke are getting released at NYCC. These should be the last of the ninja variants. I'm really hoping they won't miss out Chameleon and Tremor, I'd even take Oniro (the white ninja from Defenders Of The Realm) if they wanted to really scrape the creativity barrel. I'd also love to see a clear/transparent version of Reptile so it looks like he's invisible. I mean don't get me wrong I do really want non-ninja characters - but still I want them to get as much profit possible out of the existing ninja figure mold, in order to give the line the most longevity and characters possible.

I totally forgot about those two, it would be cool if they did Chameleon and give him a shiny translucent look same with Reptile as well. I agree with them making as much profit as they can with the mold. They can start working on other characters afterwards and then do alternative costumes. I just hope they do Sub Zero and Scorpion in their Shaolin Monks and Deception attire.

I'll definitely get Smoke to complete my MK II ninjas, but damn I'm itching to get my hands on the Baraka/Kitana/Cyrax/Lui Kang they've shown in recent months/years.

I agree with them making as much profit as they can with the mold. They can start working on other characters afterwards and then do alternative costumes. I just hope they do Sub Zero and Scorpion in their Shaolin Monks and Deception attire. Yeh I think I'd prefer a clear/transparent Chameleon with a wash of all his colors (rather than a totally solid/opaque version) but he is well known to be one of the least popular MK characters so we'll just have to wait and see if they make him. But I really want this line to be comprehensive, or even exhaustive if possible (i.e. background characters, comic characters, rumor characters etc - still only covering the classic/original trilogy games though) so I hope they don't forget Chameleon, and I mean the mold is done anyway. Tremor is certainly popular enough to sell, but wasn't officially part of the original games, so might not fit Storm's "classic characters" strategy. Though of course if you know your MK history/mythology as well as I do, you'll know his first unofficial/retrospective appearance was in Mortal Kombat Trilogy. To anyone unfamiliar with Tremor's history, in the Nintendo 64 Mortal Kombat Trilogy manual there is an orange-brown colored ninja illustration where Ermac's image should be (with Ermac's actual image appearing where Rain's image should be, and Rain's actual image not appearing at all!), and the text under Rain's section is completely different to the Rain bio given within any version of the game, in any other MKT version's manual, or indeed in ANY other MK game featuring Rain. This text actually was (or later became anyway) the bio for Tremor. Anyway getting back on topic, as stated I would love a classic Tremor figure using the existing MK1/MK2 ninja mold, since I consider his first appearance to be MK Trilogy so he fits my definition of a classic character. While despite my opinion, Storm probably will make ninja versions from games later than the original 2D/trilogy, personally I'm strongly against it, as I want to see ALL the classic characters made and I fear any attempt to cover the later games will be too ambitious and lead to them never completing the classic character roster. And in my 25+ years of collecting figures, following the figure scene, and seeing countless MK figure lines cancelled after only doing the most popular characters, I think that's a very realistic fear sadly.

No wonder so many toy companies want the MK license and it keeps switching. One mold can be used for 8 different characters Rain and Smoke are the 2 MK characters I hate the most though.
