With the Storm teaser for SDCC i'm officially all in on collecting this line. Got Reptile, Sub-Zero and Scorpion preorderd and I'll try to get my hands on the SDCC Noob.

Smoke, Ermac and Rain are all at NYCC, so Storm is probably gonna get all the ninjas out there asap. Shao Kahn as well as the same non painted Kitana, Lui Kang and Baraka that was at SDCC are also present.

For some reason, I love those Funko figures. They really make no sense, but are such a weird melange of elements that they almost feel like I'd something I'd dream about in 1993 and wake up wanting.
Big mistake, as with most MK stuff, is that it's not done in the original style. If those were in the style of the original games, I'd buy all of them. But I have no interest in the overwrought modern designs, so I'll pass entirely.

If they do a follow up that might be nice. The scale isn't too far off from Jazwares, might be possible to make a good custom or two from the heads for characters unmade in that scale. I'm still waiting for a good MK2 style Shang Tsung, MK1 Sonya Blade, MK1 Rayden, MK2 Mileena..What's it gonna take? |

Seeing Shao Kahn and Goro at Toyfair was cool but it was kinda disappointing to see only ninjas outside of them. They're really getting the most out of that body. Hopefully we see painted Lui Kang, Kitana, Baraka and Cyrax sooner than later cause we know they have the bodies for those.

Yeah I agree. It's stupid that Rain and Ermac are using that body mold when they weren't introduced until UMK3 with a totally different ninja sprite.
