I'm having issues layering paint. Despite it "drying" when I apply a different color it smears and mixes with first coat. Do I need to paint, seal, paint ect to paint layers. I use acrylic paints.

How long are you letting the paint dry? Is your brush clean? If I were to go over a painted area with another color, I'd wait around 30 mins atleast.

I've actually let it sit for days. I switched to acrylic paint pens by sharpie. Same result.

I don't know about acrylic pens.
But is the coat youre applying really wet? That may be what is making them blend. If so, then you should just seal the bottom coat.

Anyone in the UK know where to get Testors acrylic from in person, rather than Ebay, as the one seller doesn't have the colours I need and the internet is finding impossible.
Its like the hardest thing in the world to source lol

Have you tried Games Workshop Citadel paints? Those might be easier to find in the UK than Testors.

is there any paints that would match: The skin tone of the Classic Superstar Papa Shango Figure? The Black Attire of there Classic Superstar Papa Shango Figure?
And what is the best way of applying these paints, would you have to do anything to the figure before applying the pain??

It might, if you aren't covering a huge area of the figure. LJNs are rubber, so regular acrylic paint will chip on the figure.

You can go 2 ways: 1. Buy (acrylic) paint and mix liquid latex in it. I've never done this, but I know other customizers who have. 2. Buy paint with latex already in it. For instance, Liquitex. I actually use this paint, and I don't mind it. It is more expensive than going and buying other acrylic paints, but you won't have to worry about your paint chipping on your LJNs.

i know EVERYONE asks this, and i know i need accrylic. But i want to paint the white outlines on my RI suicide, and am from the UK, and want a good place to get good paints for the job. do gamesworkshop paints fair well, ive experimented with them for odd bits and they do fine.

For years, I used Testors. Once I used Citadel paint, I switched, no questions asked. Citadel paints are some of the best I've ever used. To answer your question, yes they should do just fine for what you need.
