I already pre-ordered Cactus Jack for only $25 a few months ago (I believe). I feel like Kane isn't worth it for $27, a un-painted Hardcore Championship and no attempt at the mesh. The price is obviously because the Hardcore Championship has never been released before but, I'm really debating on this one. I threw together my own HC out of the Battle Pack Macho and Punk belt a few months ago and I think it looks fine, but I do like Mattel's version better. It seems like Kane was very rushed to me.
Bottom line, I want to hear you opinions on Kane before I click checkout.

Just look at the 9 pg thread.
To me the general consensus is that it's a pass.

If they make the belt more bronze'ish I'll buy it.

If they fix it before its released yes. If that's the final? then i would say no, it'll be more of a lazy product they know people want so it'll sell anyway imo.

I don't think Mattel can even fix things. At least not before they're shipped. We complained about Elite 20's Cody Rhodes having leg sleeves months before it came out. And to there credit they fixed the problem. But not before the second shipment of them. That's something simple though. Just giving a figure kneepads that they already have in production anyway.
The Kane has a bunch of glaringly obvious problems......but most of the issues aren't anything that could be fixed without delaying it for another 5 months.
Maybe the paint on the mask. But I imagine these are in full production mode. And I doubt they're allowed to do a running change to an exclusive. Nobody would buy the first run of them w/ the bad paint jobs

I'm a Kane fan and an avid legends/flashback collector, but if that is the final figure and belt I will be passing. If it ends up marked down below $20, I'd consider picking it up with another order. At this time though, I'm more fired up for HTM and The Giant.

Giving him new boots.....plus making them glossy, larger arms, New bulkier body mold (that they don't have) are out of the question.
But if they could fix the paint jobs on the mask and fake mesh see-thru part (make it not golden brown), throw in a splash of color on the belt. It would look 10x's better.

Its not worth it for that price. These figs are not cheap by any means, so if you're paying top dollar you would expect to get a top notch figure by that logic right? If someone painted your house and rushed and didnt get the color scheme right, and cut corners, and still wanted the premium price for a sub par job you'd certainly not pay for such a job right? I refuse to pay for an expensive item that looks like a bad custom. They need to get the message that either they lower the prices if they continue to cut corners, or give us premium items at the already premium price. Thats just my opinion at least mate.

In the 9pg thread I said I thought the figure was nice.... Well I definitely take that back. This should have been a Flashback not an exclusive, that body mold is terrible and I have no idea what they were trying to do with kane written on his glove. I like mattels figures but this is not good at all.

That was my reaction when i was first exposed to the trash Mattel calls an exclusive. So much potential with this figure too, its really a shame.

I'm in the minority then because I like it. I think it looks damn good. This goes to show that people here are NEVER happy with anything they get anymore. Clamoring for a 2001 Kane, now we're getting one and you people are picking at every single little insignificant detail. Smh...

I preordered it immediately. I guess I'm not as picky as some.

I preordered it right away. Do I think it's perfect? No. Do I like it? Yup. I can justify the price point because it's an exclusive. This is a short run production for Mattel as it's not hitting mass retail, and anything that gets a short run will always cost more per unit than it would if it was mass-produced for retail.

Wish it had more than just the belt with the asking price.

The price is really the only thing exclusive about it. It looks like a poor custom some1 put together.
