I'm in the minority then because I like it. I think it looks damn good. This goes to show that people here are NEVER happy with anything they get anymore. Clamoring for a 2001 Kane, now we're getting one and you people are picking at every single little insignificant detail. Smh... Exactly.

I bought it and voted yes in the poll. It's not like they're g oing to make this style Kane again, so I say get it now. The Hardcore belt may see a release with either BA Billy or DOGG or someone else so I'm not so worried about the belt too much.

I wish mattel would take a look at this thread, its kinda embarrassing that out of 80 people, 67 dont want it.

As a Kane fan I do want to get, but like many people have stated the price isn't right. I never liked the mask mold its the same problem that Jakks had with their Kane aside from the R3, which like most if I do get the figure I'll swap their heads. If it was a Flashback figure no doubt it'd be an immediate purchase, but at the same time RSE usually sell good. I'll probably end up getting it just because knowing people the price will go up on eBay, heck I was lucky to find his first Mattel RSE for a good price last year, still in the box as well.

I went with no.
I think its status as an exclusive warrants better attention to detail. I wouldn't hate it if it was, say, part of the normal line (like if we were getting this flashback Kane instead of another modern one), but I expect them to go all out for their exclusives. It just seems like a total let-down.
I don't mind the painted, non-meshy torso and the fact that it's too damned thin as much as I mind the badly colored hardcore title and mask. There is just no excuse for the latter two.

I preordered it immediately. I guess I'm not as picky as some. Same. I see no problems with it being an exclusive. I like it a lot. One of my favorite Kane moments/attires, so I am very happy we're getting it.

the figure lost me at the horrible painted mesh see thru part. it looks cheap. the belt doesnt look great either. and then the painted studs on the waist piece just sealed the deal. granted they cant do a new mold for the waist but everything else is bad too. i never pass on rsc exclusives so this is a first.
bring on warrior/macho/hbk exclusives. seems to me they missed a great chance to do a sweet hbk here

I decided to get another exclusive Austin, so I paired it with a Kane and it came to $27.50 each total. Saved myself $6.00 if I just purchased the Kane by itself and I'll have an Austin to open and get the belts from.

I already overpaid for that stupid Stone Cold exclusive - I'm not giving RSC the benefit of the doubt on anything. The mask isn't right and the belt isn't right. Other than that it's a damn cool figure. But also too expensive.

While I haven't gotten around to ordering it yet I do think it's worth it. As far as the parts go I think they are fine. It's not like they were going to cast new parts for a one time figure. A new torso w/ mesh sculpted into it and a studded waist piece couldn't be used with anyone else. So if the did cast them for this figure it probably would have shot the price of the figure up about $10 to cover the costs of making it. The title is find because it I remember the title was nothing more than junk when Vince gave it to Mandkind. It wasn't ahiney of flashy, but rather broken, dull and taped together. As for figure scale...other than the Taker/Nash/Diesel torso and Mr. Perfect's whole waist & upper body being to thin and e19 Dolph /e20 Cody being too buff in the limbs the scale is fine with Mattel's.

I voted no because while a cool idea, the figure itself isn't to impressive. I personally like my Elite 19 Kane better then the Hardcore one. Even the belt isn't too special. Honestly if Ringside is going to do a exclusive figure, maybe they should do a person that doesn't have an Elite figure, or a figure at all. Something that would make it truly unique. Just a thought. I personally have only bought one Ringside exclusive, the NWO Macho Man. Loved the black and white with the madness shirt and bandana.

I don't really see a problem with the paint applications. Maybe the mask could be painted slightly better. (larger stripes) but other than that they did the best that could be done with the parts that were available. But sure just like Taker/Diesel/Nash/Perfect that torso is too thin, but that's what they have. And seeing there's no mesh molded into the sculpt it was painted the best it could be. Sure the boots are wrong (one of my biggest pet peeves with figures) but they don't have a boot mold like the ones he wore and I can't see them making them now for one figure. As for the title that is pretty much how I remember it looking. (there might habe been a very small splotch of blue by the right side of the face plate. But nothing that ruins it if not there

(This is more of a recap for PJ, so bear with me. ) I don't really see a problem with the paint applications. Maybe the mask could be painted slightly better. (larger stripes) The red plastic the head looks to be cast out of is way bright. Plus, his mask was predominately black anyway. The studded belt on the waist line isn't sized right, and they've done nothing to distinguish the belt from the tights. When people complained about E10 Kane have a dull WHC, MDT chimed in: I don't seem to remember Kane wearing a WWE ShopZone glove with KANE written on it out to the ring. None of his previous figures from any company nor have any video games featured this. Mattel took note not to paint the studs near the wrist area; how did KANE get OK'ed? they did the best that could be done with the parts that were available. But sure just like Taker/Diesel/Nash/Perfect that torso is too thin, but that's what they have. Going with what's available is understandable, but why go with the smaller arms used for current Brothers Of Destruction than stick with the larger, more accurate arms E12 Kane had? And seeing there's no mesh molded into the sculpt it was painted the best it could be. A seemingly minor detail but Jakks and even the customizer a few posts above painted the mesh areas a more natural looking color than the dull burnt orange that appears on this Kane. Sure the boots are wrong (one of my biggest pet peeves with figures) but they don't have a boot mold like the ones he wore and I can't see them making them now for one figure. Let's not forget that they gave the previous RSC Kane Exclusive its own boot mold. Tall laceless boots could've been used for other classic Kane attires and perhaps the eventual WM14/'98 Taker. (And f--- it, let's just say Crush too.) As for the title that is pretty much how I remember it looking. (there might habe been a very small splotch of blue by the right side of the face plate. But nothing that ruins it if not there The figure belt is looking awfully bland next to: Mattel raised the bar; I think customers should hold them up to that standard.

basically ^ everything he said PJ.
I can let the small torso, arms and wrong boot choice slide. But for me personally the bright red on the mask (not enough black), misaligned flame design on mask, no glossy shine on boots and bad goldish color for the mesh cause me to scratch my head.
and I really wish we could get an explanation on the Kane logo on the glove?

The misaligned flames on the mask bugs me the most! How can Bill or MDT see the final sample and ok it? I hope this exclusive tanks because then maybe Mattel will realize they've been slacking when it comes to details lately. I think RSC and Mattel should let us vote what one of the RSC exclusives will be.
