rick is so badass, if i was in the group i would be scared to say somehing that might tick him off, but season 3 is amazing so far!

Amazing episode. Rick is really doing a full swing character wise, now that the pressure of being leader is getting to him. Though it was definitely a wise decision to kill the latino prisoner guy. I also like that they're giving T-Dog some characterization now as he was completely neglected throughout season 2. I hope we see more of handlebar mustache prisoner.
My only problem was that we didn't see Michonne/ Andrea's arc at all. Judging from the post-episode preview, next week's episode will be solely about them though. Can not wait to meet the governor!!!
Also, is anyone else a little disappointed they showed Merle Dixon in all the advertising for season 3? They even showed him for next week's preview. I mean, we all knew he'd be back, but it would have been a nice reveal to have him show up out of nowhere.

Great episode. Lots of scares, and deaths galore. Positive points: -Ricks badassery was never more prevalent than in this episode. I liked the way he handled the Prisoners. -Lori, for all her faults, showed promise when she saved Hershel. -Carl's character is becoming more like Rick's every episode. I like the way he fleshed himself out, dealing with problems on his own. -Super great jump scares. Big Tiny, Rick, and Hershel all made me pee my pants a little. -The guy at the end watching Carol-I think I have a good idea who that could be. Negative points: -Could have done without the stupidity of the Prisoners attacking riot style, but I understand why they did so. -Lori is still an annoying ****. -I didn't want Big Tiny to die  -No Michonne Quote of the episode: "You've been officially pardoned by the State of Georgia, boys, you're free to go."-Daryl to the Prisoners. That is pretty much how I feel. Great episode and can't wait for the next one since it should have a lot of Michonne/governor.  |

I really enjoyed this week's show. Gotta admit, I jumped when Lori was grabbed by Hershel.Nice little tease. |

DAMN I LOVE THIS SHOW! Season 3 has been great so far. Glad Hershel didn't die. The Hispanic guy, Tomas got his head chopped, loved that. Total dick. Carl killing two walkers by himself was a good add to his character I think. Next episode's gonna be dope!!

It makes me think that if they bring back Morgan, they'll do the same thing--which will really bother me. We'll see though. I'm loving this season so far. I think the entire interaction between the prisoners and the group was insanely well done. Everything about Rick taking charge, Daryl essentially being the leader of his army, and T-Dogg3000 actually being involved in the plot worked really well. The Rick tomahawk machete scene was awesome, and I like that he is taking on the them vs us mentality, and that Lori supported the decision. Just a great, great, episode imo.
I almost peed my pants during the Hershel scene with Lori.
Carl is a really interesting character, or rather has really interesting character development, in the comics. So I'm a big fan of telling that as a side story through the show and then bringing it out front when they need to. Which is what they planted the seeds for imo.

They showed Merle for like a quarter of a second at the end of the preview. My roommate didn't even notice it. It was supposed to be a "blink and you'll miss it" moment.

I don't care if they showed Merle. I am so looking forward to him coming back. The entire promo could have been Merle just standing there with everyone pointing to him and a bright neon sign behind them flashing "Merle comes back next week". And then they can change the theme song to: "Merle is back, Merle is back, holy crap, Merle is back". And I'll still mark out when he shows up! |

First 2 episodes have been awesome. I like how most are annoyed by Rick's wife, but I'm annoyed by the little kid.

Carl in the comics has pissed me off immensely at different points in time, but so far in the show I haven't had a problem with him. If anything, it's interesting to see how he is being manipulated or changing by being forced out of his adolescence and his mothers almost refusal to accept it.
Lori on the show is bumpy for me. Some times she doesn't bother me but other times I just beg for her to be eaten by a pack of rabid zombies. I tend to think we are supposed to hate her a lot of the time. Like that's how she is written to intentionally not connect with the core demographic who would naturally side with Rick.
