I was glad they skipped forward instead of having half a season of them running in the woods. Good episode and I like Michonne a lot. I don't believe Herschel is going to die, but so far I have enjoyed the differences from the comics to the show because it keeps me guessing. But christ I hate Lori.

Shouldn't this be titled the Official Walking Dead Thread? The first episode was great glad they're still using some of the secondary storylines from the comic. Herschel replacing Dale as the amputee. And his daughter replacing Sophia as Carl girlfriend. Though I wish they kept Sophia and killed off her mom. |

^ Wow that is so weird. That Rick/Carl picture is awesome. Lori is an annoying bitch.. I would love if her baby killed her but I doubt it judging by the comics. I loved the first episode. So many zombie kills I mean damn that has to be record [that will stay for a while]. It was great seeing Michonne . She is awesome in the show and in real life [The Talking Dead]. I was so sad Hershel got bit I knew that zombie was being a shady !  That hatchet scene was like some Saw sh*t! I expect him to survive for most of the season but you never know. I can't wait for the rest of the season. |

Anybody download "The Parting Glass" yet? I'm actually digging this song a lot now. About to go rewatch the episode. Still can't wait for the next one.
I'm starting to believe that Herschel will survive, but only for a short time (one or two episodes before he dies either of the bite's infection or an infection from the cutting off of his leg). We'll see.

Just got around to it (S03EO1)... not completely bad, but not great either. This is where that long-haul psychology kicks-in for all concerned; writers, actors... and it begins to show certain people up. Plus, production itself hasn't been without problems.
One-two--three...
In real danger of becoming a daytime soap-opera with zombies and gore.

Great episode. Lots of scares, and deaths galore. Positive points: -Ricks badassery was never more prevalent than in this episode. I liked the way he handled the Prisoners. -Lori, for all her faults, showed promise when she saved Hershel. -Carl's character is becoming more like Rick's every episode. I like the way he fleshed himself out, dealing with problems on his own. -Super great jump scares. Big Tiny, Rick, and Hershel all made me pee my pants a little. -The guy at the end watching Carol-I think I have a good idea who that could be. Negative points: -Could have done without the stupidity of the Prisoners attacking riot style, but I understand why they did so. -Lori is still an annoying ****. -I didn't want Big Tiny to die  -No Michonne Quote of the episode: "You've been officially pardoned by the State of Georgia, boys, you're free to go."-Daryl to the Prisoners. |
