Thing I see not making it to this, from the comic, is the prisoner decapitating the little kids, those kids arent even in the show are they?

cheers guys, going to check out the comics asap. for some reason I thought the comic was finished already. sucks as I have a lot of comic series on the go atm, but eh what's one more. To follow up, I was at my comic shop yesterday and they have 2 books called The Walking Dead Compendium. The first one covers issues 1-48, which gets you through all of the Prison and Governor arc, and the second one is for issues 49-96. They are $60 each which is like a $1.25 an issue. If you haven't picked up anything yet, this is definitely the way to go because that is dirt cheap. In comparison, each TPB is $15 each and there are like 16 of those or whatever. The next issue is 103, so those two books for a total of $120 and change are going to get you almost completely caught up sans the last 6-7 most recent issues. All the digital comics are on sale right now too if anyone uses comiXology. Volumes 1-16 are all $4.99 each, and individual issues are 99 cents. |

thanks for the heads up! i'll probably check out a few issues first then see if i want to go the compendium route.
I've been smashing through Season 2 today so I can try and watch the Season 3 premier tomorrow. After hearing from literally everyone I've spoken to that season 2 'sucks', I've been waiting for it to get bad and it still hasn't (I'm on episode 9, btw). That scene with Sophia emerging from the barn was the best scene on the show thus far IMO, my jaw honestly dropped. As much as I love Game of Thrones, I think I'd give this the edge of best show on TV right now. I haven't cared for a group of characters this much since Battlestar Galactica. It's really hard to watch knowing Shane's fate, as he's one of if not the best actors/characters on the show.

Good first episode. It really set the tone as far as the group finally becoming more of a survivalist team than a group with no clue what to do. The end was extremely well done, and was quite visceral considering it's a cable TV program.
