Yeah, I'm not sure where the whole 'Owen would've been World Champion if he was still alive' came from. Like previously stated, if it was ever going to happen, it would've been in 1994. That ship had already sailed by the late 90s. At that point he was just counting down the days until his retirement.

Owen was doomed to mid-card.
He just didn't have "it". I'm sorry, but it's true.
He just couldn't run with the top dogs of his day, I still respect him & would be rather glad to have seen him prove me wrong.

I've heard the rumor before, though I don't believe Owen would've come anywhere close to the WWF Championship with a run as "The Game." As many have said, he was only looking ahead to retirement at the time of his death.

The Game or not, WWE would be a better product with Owen around.
The thought of an Owen and Eddie Guerrero feud makes me salivate.
