Ok I was thinking about this. All of these men were at one point on top and never given a World Title run in the WWF/WCW/NWA. I would like to know who you think out of them deserved the title run the most. The one thing that comes to my mind is
Magnum TA wins NWA Title and is the NWA's Hulk Hogan.
Your opinions???

There are two that are right at the top for me. Roddy Piper and Magnum TA. I dont think Magnum would have ever equaled the popularity of Hogan, honestly, I think Flair would have still been the bigger star for NWA/WCW but its pretty much a given fact that Magnum WAS suppose to get the title. As for Piper, Ive never heard any plans for him to take the belt off Hogan. I certainly think Piper deserves it and since he was never planned to, I give my vote to Piper over Magnum.
Another name I like to always throw out is Tully Blanchard. By far one of if not the most underrated talents in wrestling. He's probably the main reason Magnum had the popularity that he did. If you remove Flair from the NWA you could easily slide Blanchard into the position IMO and never skip a beat.

Piper, Perfect or Owen Hart. I voted Piper though, as I feel he was the biggest star from the group to never win. Plus, he is the greatest talker of all time IMO. A really good case could be made for most of those names IMO.

The British Bulldog had world tite matches at nearly all stages of his career, and he would put on a great match with anybody who he stepped into the ring with. He definatey deserved it more than anyone. I would have said Owen, but he just didn't care enough.
Billy Gunn would be a close second, and Hennig would be third.

Roddy Piper. It's still mind boggling how that guy was never given the title. He was the total package. Excellent wrestler, amazing on the mic, and oozed charisma. As for Magnum TA, I think they were planning to give him the NWA Heavyweight Championship but his accident of course got in the way.
Honorable mentions go to Ted DiBiase, Mr. Perfect, and Razor Ramon. Ramon was so over in the mid-90s, I'm surprised he was never given a run with the belt.

Mr. Perfect by far. The guy was literally the total package. He had the look, the charisma, and one of the best ever to step into a ring. The only two things that prevented him from winning a world title was Hulkamania and his back injuries.
After him its Owen Hart no question for me. After those two its hard for me to choose.

Yet Davey Boy constantly showed up druged out of his mind and in no shape to compete. Just my opinion but Davey is overrated. The guy had the look and charisma, but he never seemed to be able to carry a match IMO. His greatest matches were w/ Bret, Owen, and HBK, and we all know those are 3 of the greatest ring generals ever. Davey is a legend to me, but I just never saw him as a world champ.

Pretty sure Davey never got a World Title match either until his heel turn in mid/late 90s either.

Went with Mr. Perfect, but could have very easily gone with Piper. I'm disappointed that Rick Rude didn't get a short run with the WWF title, but I'm thankful that he ended up getting a run in WCW

Hard to choose one out of that list.
I went with Razor just because I was always a fan of the entire gimmick. Sad to see him so messed up now.

By the time Ric Rude won the big gold belt it was called the International title - I don't think that counts.
So for all intents and purposes Ric Rude still wasn't a legitimate "World" champion in either WWF or NWA/WCW which is a HUGE crime.
Rude was the total package and would have made an awesome heel champ.

If all he cared about is the money he'd have put out dud matches every night. Davey on the otherhand may have cared more for the business than Owen but he didn't show it by constantly being drugged up and in no condition to compete.

I honestly think DiBiase & Roberts are the two for me, especially DiBiase.

Several names come to mind:
Orndorff. Rude. Perfect. Shamrock (well, he did pave the way for guys like Angle/Swagger)?
I was actually watching a WWF title match between Shawn Michaels and Ken Shamrock earlier.
