Watching RAW the beginning 1994 disk one and one of the chapters is the Wrestlemania X coin toss.
So .. first off Jack Tunneys slight of hand is clearly obvious directly after the coin is shown to have 2 sides to the camera but the thing is If Luger was to lose the coin toss call he would of faced Crush and Bret would have a title match against yokozuna. Also the week after the coin toss Macho man commentating on the Bret hart vs Tom Prichard match and The week after this show the macho man was facing Yokozuna and if so would of took Yokos spot at wrestlemania i guess as the WWF champion.
I didnt know this because in feb 94 my family and i moved back to the UK from the USA were i got into watching WWF. So i kinda got cut off watchin WWF for a while .. until wrestlemania x which i watched on a tape about a few days after the show, my dads friend at work used to tape them for me til we got sky.. and watchin the odd superstars at my aunties .. ahh the memories.
I recommend the RAW the beginning DVDs, im goin to get them all if they continue.

I remember all that jazz taking place before WM. I remember wanting Luger to win the title and face Bret that night. It would've been killer. Even more awesome would've been Macho beating Yoko and facing Bret as the main event of WM X.

Macho Man vs Bret Hart would have been ing amazing! Dream match. Too bad we got a glimpse of what could've been with their SNME match back in '87. Imagine Bret, in his PRIME, against Savage? Amazing thing was about that match in '87 was that even though Bret hadn't hit his prime, it was still a ****1/4 match. Prime Bret vs. Prime Savage? ***** easily!

If Luger won the coin toss Bret wouldn't face owen. He would of been against Macho man in match 1, Winner faced luger.
So the question being would bret and macho man of topped the owen/bret match??

Even more awesome would've been Macho beating Yoko and facing Bret as the main event of WM X. Interestingly enough, it was originally planned to be Bret VS Savage at Mania 9 (after savage won the rumble), and Luger was originally planned to win the title at Mania 10, beating Yoko and then Bret later in the night.

If Hart won, Hart would have gotten the first match and Luger would have opened against Crush.

I remember this too! But I always knew Lex was gonna win the coin toss to fight Yoko first, even at the age of 13 I knew this.
Simple reason being was, Crush clearly had to wrestle Savage and Owen clearly had to wrestle Bret. If Bret had won, did that mean Savage would wrestle Owen?? In the words of Gino Monsoon "highly unlikely"

IIRC, the coin was infact gimmicked in favor of Luger. Smart choice too.

I just dont know if Tunney is that capable of doing a coin switch. I did notice that they never show the coin after its flipped, just Luger pumping his fist. Makes me wonder if they just flipped it and said it landed for Luger

After the body slam, lex express, and the whole shebang, I felt it was a complete waste to not have luger win the title.

the story that went around was that, indeed,Luger was gonna beat Yoko for the Belt...BUT,he opened his mouth early ( and this was reported in the NY Daily News a couple days before the event) and let it be known he was getting the belt, which led Vince to change it to Luger losing to Yoko....

Funny enough, Luger was asked about this in both of his shoot interviews back in '04 and said that story was false and he was never booked to win the WWF title. Take it for what you will, but it just seems like Luger trying to cover his ass for making the biggest mistake of his career.

Didnt pics leak of Luger with the title, because reports came out that he appeared on a taped episode of Superstars ( set to air after Mania 10) being introduced as the new wwf champion.
