I still can't get over that Vancouver/Washington game..so much skill on one team.. (Vancouver)
Sometimes watching hockey as a Rangers fan gets boring, because our team is so gritty and all about defense/chip in goals and our games usually end in 2-1/3-2..but once in awhile watching teams like Vancouver play with so much skill reminds me how much I love hockey.

If Vancouver plays like this regularly, they'll win the cup. Just think, Ryan Kesler and David Booth haven't even turned on the jets yet.

I try not to blame officiating, but tonight was insanely stupid. Penalties were 9-3 Minnesota, and the third one wasnt even a full minute. Franzen got called for a crapty penalty in overtime and then two non-calls on Setoguchi and Koivu were ridiculous. Our offense needed to step up but its alot harder to do so when your in the box for crap penalties.
Hopefully the game against Calgary thursday is better, both offensively for Detroit and officiating wise

Great to see them chase Miller out of the game in seven minutes, also a great last minute stand by Bryz. The chemistry between Giroux and Jagr continues to be fantastic. However...
I don't understand why after they explode in the beginning with a comfortable lead they felt the need to drop the pace down a few levels. Granted the two Sabre goals were from (continuous) bad bounces, but they had practically no offense after the first period. It's almost like Deja Vu all over again.

Also Kaleta was suspended four games for headbutting Voracek.
Glad to hear that, Neanderthal looking piece of shit. I used to think Malkin was like ugliest chud in the league....Kaleta has taken that one now.

Yeah sure, Kaleta gets a suspension but the Flyers won't face any repercussions after mugging Vanek and let's not forget about the blatant slash on Roy that the ref ignored.

Red Wings lose their sixth straight game. I dont understand why Babcock continually puts Hudler in when he doesnt do anything, and Bertuzzi hasnt been good at all this year. Especially when guys like Eaves and Nyquist work their asses off to do something.
Hopefully we can pull off a win saturday.

So....I'm still trying to figure out how Briere's shootout goal was legal last night.
Meh, Anyway...Pronger has been skating for the past two days, visor included. This defense is lost without him, Especially Carle. His performance is just pitiful when Pronger is missing. Just been a ridiculous amount of turnovers, and it really cost them last night.

So....I'm still trying to figure out how Briere's shootout goal was legal last night. I get that the poke check probably threw him off, but there really isn't any denying that the puck stopped moving in a forward motion and he came to a stop. I don't understand how it was allowed. |

Its sad. If Detroit played like they did tonight, every game, all game long they would be 82-0 no doubt.
Stomped out the Ducks 5-0. We actually looked like the 5-0 Wings, not the 0-5-1 Wings. Hopefully they keep it up against Colorado tuesday
