I'm a big Bret Hart fan as you can tell, but "The British Bulldog" is tied with Bret as my all time favorite wrestler. Davey had it all. Strength, speed, agility, charisma and was extremely over wherever he went. I hope that someday he goes to the Hall of Fame and gets his own DVD. But until then I'd like to know what your favorite memories of Davey were and what were your favorite matches with him in either singles or tag competition.

When I was a kid, I could not stand him. Only because he was a bad guy of course. But I remember he had a brief stint in WCW correct? How long was that btw?
Looking back, my favorite memory seeing it for the first time obviously when I was older was him winning the IC strap from Bret at Summerslam 1992.

I think SS '92 was his defining moment, winning the strap from his brother-in-law in his home country - can't get better than that.
Davey was juiced to the max, but what a high impact performer he was. It's a pity he's no longer with us; I would have chosen him over Hacksaw for the HOF.

Davey was definitely hitting the juice, but not to say it makes it right but I mean almost every wrestler was on something during those days. Seemed like it was what you had to do to make it unfortunately.

My favorite match with davey is his match with owen for the european title. Such an amazing match. Can't believe it's taking so long to get bulldog and Pillman in the HOF.

top thread +1.
yeah I always liked Davey Boy.when I was young his Hasbro fig used to kick all kinds of ass in my Hasbro fed.come to think of it Id like a Mattel defining moments BB from SS92.
its such a pity that he got caught out with roids in November 92.the sacking of Warrior and Bulldog effed up Survivors 92.....and it kinda effed up DBS career.I feel he was headed for big things because Vince was very high on him after the massive success that was Summerslam 92.
his WCW runs were outright disasters though werent they?the 2nd one in particular because it ruined him physically.
I enjoyed his return and subsequent heel turn that he then stuck with until Survivors 97......his outing with Bret hart at IYH5:Seasons Beatings and HBK at IYH:Beware Of the Dog were great IMO.

His match at Wrestlemania VII against the Warlord was also another great one. Davey, just like Bret or HBK could take ANY wrestler regardless of height, weight or ability and put on a show. A true ring general.

Davey Boy is the greatest British wrestler of all time imo.
His strength was incredible. He could do standing vertical suplexes to guys like Vader and Sid. He also had a lot of agility and could have some really great fast paced matches with Owen, Bret and HBK.

i have many volumes of the best of the wwf, aswell as many snme's from the 80's and i must say that for me most of the best matches came from the bulldogs. i like his singles career which had many highlights but my favorite moments from davey boy came as a member of the bulldogs. imo the best tag team ever and also my favorite. still love the finish of WMII VS. the dream team.

He's tied with Bret as my all-time favourite wrestler. For a guy of his build he was phenominal. It's a shame his personal life was an absolute mess (read Bret's book and you'll see just how bad it was) because he could have been so much more.
My favourite Davey Boy match is also my favourite match of all time - versus Bret at SummerSlam 1992. And to think he was trashed during the whole thing!
I can only hope he's in the Hall of Fame this year or the next, because he deserves it, without question.

i'd be lying if billington and diana's books didn't make me a bit biased in my views on davey boy, but he was definitely a great talent although he always retained a degree of greenness his whole career. shitty that it ended how it did and that he died also the way he did.

yeh both his WCW stints stank to high heaven.the second stint was especially bad for him because he effed his back up falling on the trap door in the ring.
when he returned in 99 he was a shadow of the guy that left in 97.

It's hard to think about Davey without think about Summer Slam '92. I'm sure he'll get his HOF due sooner or later.

I always was impartial to him and Owen teaming. I was a big fan of him & Dynamite but his team with Owen was better to me.
But he never should have went to wCw. Neither run did much for his legacy.
