Both of the champs are pretty bad heading into SummerSlam.
Hopefully after they are a little better.

Why are Khali and Truth on the team, just makes it worse. And then you got Bret. Who should be managing the team, not wrestling. He prob will. HHH is on the poster so I expect him to take his place.

Smackdown main event is god awful. Makes absolutely no sense within the context of the storyline. So much for this feeling like a "big" show.

According to Meltzer Orton was to be on Cena's team and HHH was to face Sheamus but since HHH is still hurt they changed it to Orton in his place and also Steamboat was to be the 'legend" on Cena's team but since hes still hurt they changed it to Bret.

Well that makes ALOT more sense. Damn shame about Orton and Steamboat being excluded. Edge Cena Orton Bourne Jericho Morrison Steamboat That would have been one hell of a team to face Nexus. Hell that would be a selling point for me.

No interest in the Smackdown! side of things whatsoever. I don't even see a potential match coming out of their brand that could entice me.

This will be Bret's first SummerSlam since beating Undertaker 13 years ago. Amazing.

Judging by both title matches, I can only assume they're planning to have the tag match be the main event. Really hoping for some big swerve because I can't see Nexus winning fair and square and IMO Cena shouldn't win the feud until he gets a big time one-on-one PPV match with Wade Barrett.

This PPV is looking really bad so far. Whats worse is I highly doubt there will be any matches made that make this event worth ordering. This feels more like a lame gimmick PPV then the second biggest show of the year.

Hell maybe even fourth biggest, because I think Survivor Series is supposed to be bigger than SummerSlam.

WWE and I think almost all fans have realized SummerSlam is way past Survivor Series, in terms of the annual PPV's. WWE's been building SummerSlam as the WrestleMania of the Summer the past few years, including being exlusive to LA and having it's own Axxess Event, just like WM. If I had to rank the Mainstay PPV's in terms of how I think they're promoted to me, the fan by WWE: 1. WrestleMania 2. SummerSlam 3. Royal Rumble 4. Night of Champions 5. No Way Out/Elimination Chamber 6. One Night Stand/Extreme Rules 7. Survivor Series 8. Bragging Rights (Will probably overtake SSeries very soon).

Yeah, Summerslam is definitely marketed as the second biggest Pay-Per-View of the year. In fact, in recent years, I think they've come right out and said that it's second only to Wrestlemania, which is what makes me so disappointed with the card thus far.

I was spacing out at work today, and I was thinking about the 7 on 7 tag match. For me, unless WWE wants to make a mind-blowingly terrible decision (which I wouldn't put past them), I don't see how the Nexus could possibly lose. Every week we hear about how they have a much larger purpose, etc etc, and we still don't know what it is. Sure, this could come to light before SummerSlam, but their supposed motive is still hidden, then they lose at SummerSlam and most people get future endeavored, then what the will the point of anything be? I mean, if they lose, it kills the story, obviously. So as far as I'm concerned, either the Nexus will win, or the WWE is just as intellectually- disabled as I think it is. :3

Unless they're prepared to push the winner of that to FINALLY reaching the world title, whether it be Matt or Christian, there would be no point. And I can't see them doing that.
