to defend the logic of putting Khali & Bret in the big match... It's a 7 on 7.
Jericho, Cena, Edge, Morrison will be doing all the heavy work. Maybe Truth if he's 100%.
Khali will come in for like 30 seconds to take out one guy with his chop, and Bret will get the win with the sharpshooter. I'm hoping they swerve us all and have Nexus win. Whether or not someone from team WWE turns. If they go out there and get beat by those guys it will pretty much be the end of the story and will suck.
Was I the only one that thought for a split second that Danielson was going to come out last? Didn't think of how they would be able to explain it, but the thought just flashed in my head for a second.

The team is okay but Bourne should be in it instead of R-Truth, who should face the miz at SS While it makes more sense to replace Khali with Mark Henry. Thoose two replacments are two superstars always coming to cenas aid and they aint even on the team?
Im kinda sad we wont get Jericho vs Edge either, or Ted DiBease vs John Morrison.

I actually hope Nexus wins, they need it more than Cena, they could, say handcuff Cena to the ropes and beat down on Bret.
In all honesty, this could be an epic match, and could have an amazing ending, but the match needs to go on a long time, like Canadian Stampede, this needs a good 45/50 mins, have people being carted off, and coming back, like I said this could be amazing, but it needs to be done right

Pretty simple, Barrett said that Danielson had "second thoughts" and then implied they beat him down and kicked him out of the group. Pretty straight forward revenge if you ask me. Of the thirty different people that WWE is trying to make this work with, Danielson is one of the very few that has a legit reason to want to fight Nexus. What are they going to do with the card though? It could have been: Morrison vs Ted - Over Maryse or the M$ Belt Miz vs Truth - Over the briefcase or the US title Now those seem to be off the table. Which seems odd since they built the feuds last night and then turned around and stuck Morrison and Truth on Cena's "team." I don't know that WWE knows what the card is going to look like. I do know that they have no idea what they are doing with Nexus because there is zero continuity from week-to-week.

I have to rant on Summerslam here. Well, not rant. But still.
Summerslam is still the second biggest PPV of the year. It's like the summertime Wrestlemania. There have been years where Summerslam managed to surpass Wrestlemania in terms of quality (2000, I'm specifically looking at you). I haven't felt the big time feel for Summerslam in a long time, and that saddens me. I used to look forward to it a LOT.
So far, though....they're doing a damn good job building it up. The WWE title match is announced RIGHT AWAY and with two guys who already have a history...and an unfinished one at that. You'll recall the last time Sheamus and Orton fought one-on-one, Sheamus kept the belt, but there was no definitive winner. At this point, too, Orton may very well be the hottest face on Raw, and Sheamus' second WWE Championship reign is working out much better than his first one.
On top of that, we have Nexus vs. Raw, with Cena and Barrett both leading their respective teams. This has been a fantastic angle, and the build up to this match has been phenomenal. I don't have a problem with Cena's team at all. I mean, the entire locker room has come out at various points because they know Nexus is a threat and needs to be stopped. So even if they haven't been beaten down yet, they know Nexus has to be stopped. Thus, I have no problem with Khali and Truth on the team. Besides, wouldn't YOU want a 7-foot plus giant on your team? And even though Bret can't (and I'm sure won't) wrestle, it's logical.
That said, this match is CRUCIAL. Nexus has been very effective. To REALLY get over, they need to win this. They NEED to win this. Then they can have the rematch at Survivor Series. Yes, it's parallel to the Alliance, but for this angle to matter, they need to win this match. I was originally for Cena to turn heel and join Nexus (mainly because I'm dying for a Cena heel turn) but I feel that Bret Hart would be a better candidate to turn. Bret won't wrestle so he won't overshadow any of the members in the ring. Plus, at this point, I want Cena to face Barrett one-on-one, title or no title.
Smackdown!'s shaping up nicely, too. It seems we'll get Kane vs. the Undertaker. Now, it won't be a great match by any means, but it has been a while since they've feuded, and Undertaker is a much better wrestler than in their previous encounters. And the storyline, while it's been obvious since the beginning, is at least a solid one, if they go with Kane eliminating the Undertaker so he could go for the Championship. No, it doesn't make complete sense, but I'll let it slide.
It saddens me that CM Punk won't be a part of Summerslam, though.
My point is that this has the potential to feel like the second biggest PPV of the year, especially if they add Miz vs. Evan Bourne for the US Championship, and I'm excited for it.

I definitely agree that it's been a long time since Summerslam has felt big. Unfortunately, I'm not really getting that feeling from this year's either. Aside from the 7-on-7 (which I do have problems with, line up wise), the WWE title match is of no interest to me, nor is The Undertaker vs. Kane (especially if it's for the World Championship). We've already seen Orton/Sheamus, and even though there was no definitive outcome, I don't want to see it again. They don't have great chemistry together and it just doesn't feel like a big match. I still don't buy Sheamus as a main event player, so I can't think of a single person I'd actually like to see him face in a big match situation. Something about Sheamus in a title match at Summerslam doesn't seem right to me. As for The Undertaker vs. Kane, I couldn't care less about the match to begin with, but when you throw in the World Title, it just makes me care even less. I don't think either of them need the World Title, and quite frankly, I find it to be a total waste. WWE's priorities on Smackdown seem to be in shambles. At least Raw has got the 7 on 7 to make up for the less than stellar WWE title match, but the undercard is going to have to be pretty incredible for me to think of this as a true Summerslam.

^How can you say Orton and Sheamus don't have good chemistry together after only one singles match? This match at S-Slam will be a lot different as Orton is full on face now and is super over where he wasnt in the match at The Rumble. And Sheamus has improved alot since January.

Because Orton's offense just a bunch of strikes. Heel or face, thats his moveset. That match against Sheamus at the Rumble was boring because thats all it was. Sheamus is boring and Orton just does Striking moves, no chemistry.

If I remember correctly, they also had a match on Raw that was less than stellar. It doesn't take much to see whether the chemistry is there or not. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Orton, and I think he typically puts on some pretty solid matches, but I don't have quite the same expectations from Sheamus. Thus far, the only big match Sheamus has had that I found to be enjoyable was against Triple H at Wrestlemania, and that was more atmosphere than anything. I just hope this is a quick and painless way to get the belt on Orton and move on.

I'm sure we all know how his returning storyline would go, but there's about 20 possibilities.

I'm pretty sure someone will turn on the WWE. It makes sense. I mean on monday Barrett wanted Cena to join the Nexus which means that there is a possibility they are recruiting.

R truth is decent but storyline-wise, he doesn't fit at all. He should still be feuding with the Miz.

Miz beat the hell out of R-Truth and then R-Truth got even with Miz by preventing him from winning the championship. Seems like that feud is at a halt at the moment. Miz also beat up Mark Henry.. no feud there.
